so did hopkins...calzaghe was the #1 LHW in any normal fan's brain...there is no 175 lber aside from MAYBE Dawson that could even come close to JC...hopkins is not ducking anyone IMO

Hopkins had a good 2 or 3 fighs at Light heavy before Joe stepped up, and how can Calzaghe be the #1 light heavyweight champ in his debut at lhw?

B-Hop fought everybody out there. What else do you want??? Remember his age. The man is unbelievable. Nothing but respect for B-HOP. But to be honest, I don't count his veictories against Tito or Oscar as very important. I know a lot of people do, but I don't. Why??? Neither Tito or Oscar belong up there with big guys like Bernard. The pay was good, but they didn't have a chance.

Bernard lost a controversial split decision to Calzaghe, and used Pavlik for a speed bag for 12 rounds. I don't give a **** what the O.P. or anyone else says, Calzaghe and Pavlik would both ****ing terrorize the top 10 at 175.

    Why should he fight a top 10 light-heavy? He's 44 for ****'s sake. Give him a break.

Ok, I'll have a go at the question since nobody bothered to answer it:

When they bring enough money to the table, then Hopkins will fight one.

The guy is past it what do you expect? He wants to stay active for reasons that are his own. But in his prime he stayed at middleweight at a time when there were not many good fighters. Why did he not move up then and fight the best the sport had to offer?

Bernard is a ATG he fights when he wants, and if he doesnt feel like fighting again he's still an ATG. and besides I don't hear many serious young challengers calling him out.
