Johnson rematch should have happened before and Tarver was unavoidable. Also there has been a lack of competition for him. But now that Pascal and Cloud have established themselves. We can hopfully look forward to seeing just how good he is. I must admit the first Johnson fight did leave me with some doubts. There is also the possibility of fighting the winner of the super six at some stage. So these next two years could see Dawson move into p4p contention.

    But dury is still out.

Wasn't the Johnson rematch what pretty much everyone wanted from Dawson? The first was a decent action fight, don't see how this one won't be either.

this fight vs Johnson should be the end of the rematches

1.unless it winds up a draw

    OR

    2. Dawson loses and wants a rematch

    ok lets break it down

Fought Johnson.... got a debatable decision

    Fought tarver the first time

the rematch was ORDERED... unless you want him to just put his title in the trash

and now is going out to try and show that his win over GJ isnt a fluke...

really dont see the huge deal here when you look at it for what it is.

There was no need for the Tarver rematch to be televised, the first fight was terrible and no on wanted to see it. The Johnson rematch is legit, the first fight was entertaining and the decision was disputed, two important elements of a rematch.
