That's not the biggest issue. It's the fact that he's probably the worst boxer Dubois has been in by a considerable margin. a tough journeyman with a low KO ratio would be great for Dubois just about now. He needs guys who can take him rounds.

Stick Yardo in with Beterbiev, Gvozdyk or Bivol and we won’t hear about him much after that :) Duboys is a hype job that will get flatlined against Sirenko or Hrgovic who have about as many fights.

Damn another casual idiot who doesnt respect the development process. The sport is over 100 years old but the newbies think they know more than the experts.

The same guys who question my rotting motivations and use code by telling me too 'root for Americans" will support these guys despite them not being Americans.

They would be glad for fight Wilder's former opponents, Sconiers, Nichols, etc., why should they fight a legit fighter when Wilder got a WBC title without earning it, all they have to do is buy haymon boxing insurance!

This. And Joe Smith Jr would be my pick to execute Yarde. :) Sticking him in with Artur or Oleksandr would be a bit much for kids to see.

It wouldn't be smart at all to put these young and inexperienced (as professionals) boxers against "KO masters", right?
But the best opponents for such a young prospect (as Dubois or Yarde) would be fighters with as few KO losses as possible. That means those opponents have great chins, they know how to survive and how to give problems.

Who would you expect a 20 year old HW with 7 fights to have fought?

I'm OK with Dubois going slowly, but he is way above this sort of level and it can get dangerous. Nick Webb or Nathan Gorman level fighters should be where he heads to next. Even a Gary Cornish. The problem is that hype they've built around him will make fans question why he's fighting these dudes.

Yarde on the other hand is ranked highly with the WBO already. He needs proper competition. Yes, he had a limited AM career but then he should have been going toward the British title.

Dubious doesn't have to be fasttracked. Many young promising HW's were moved even slower as he is, only they should temper the hype a bit.
Yarde however should prove himself against guys like Gonzalez, Valera or Shabranskyy. But I have an idea they aren't ready to take chances like that yet or at all

dubois name would not even have been heard off with the exception he sparred with joshua and says he decked him.

    it hypes his public profile.

but as to when dubois get off the bum circut and start fighting legit foes ?
who do you beleive he should go in with ?

tyson was fast tracked i think he fought for his first title in about 21 fights or something close to that

fought mitch green/quick tillis/ribalta / scaff / fighters in his 15th to 20th figths approx without looking up box rec

forget the names of the postmen he fought in his first 10 fights/ they were just gimmee no names what dubois if fighting now.

he has a lot to learn / he has variety and power/ but is also open to counters/ and needs better footwork and abilty to see whats coming back and avoid it.

put him in now with an experienced boxer and he will struggle

20 year old anthony joshua i saw box in the aba final would have lost to beazeale / 27 year old joshua had an easy night

time and experience are needed with dubois/ he will need to have a good chin as he has only average handspeed and is clearly not ready to thrown in the deep end like some on here suggest.

let the hype die down around him/put him on undercards of small hall shows and put him in with experienced journeymen with proven track records of being able to take prospects a few rounds.
