I mean that the successful American bocers were first Irish immigrants, than Jewish immigrants and then Italian immigrants. Same here in German with immigrants from Eastern Europe, Turkey or from Balkan. Why are those guys considered American but not German :huh Double standard?

German is an ethnicity not a race. There´s a difference. Yeah there is a German ethnic and not all ethnic Germans live in Germany just like not all German citizens are ethnic Germans. But both ethnic Germans in and out of Germany and German citizens of German or non-German ethnicity are German. Like it or not that´s fact.

Yeah...I mean look at England too...the best prospect England have right now, Carl Froch...his parental grandparents are 100% Polish, born and raised...so he is half Polish...Carl Froch is as English as Mikkel Kessler, who is half English too. I guess I'll support Kessler from now on, because at least he's not a twat and because his supporters aren't annoying and delusional.

    :hi: , troll!

    Canadians-

Sam Langford (top 5 p4p of all time)
Tommy Burns(early heavyweight champion who Jack Johnson beat to become the 1st ever black champion - http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=10744&cat=boxer)
Jack Delaney (light heavy champ in 20's)
    Arturo Gattti(yall knwo the deal)
    Otis Grant(world champion)
Scotty the bulldog Olson(ibo world champ and USBA champ)
Billy the kid Irwin(ibo world champ and world champion challenger)
George Chuvalo(yall should know this guy)
Yvonne Durell(fought archie moore for the light heavy title in one of the most exciting fights of all time and had an amazing career)
Steve Molitor(gonna be unified champ at 122 on the 21st)
Jean Pascal(he's lived there since he was a child and started boxing in canada so we can claim him)
    Eric Lucas(world champion)
Davey Hilton and his bro Matthew Hilton (both world champs)
    Razor Ruddock(multiple world title challenger)
    Trevor Berbick(world champion)
Kirk Johnson(2 time world title challenger)
    Donny Lalonde(world champion)
Tony Pep(former ibo world champ and fought mayweather and hatton)

There's a few off the top that are from Canada. Sure there's people like Bute, Alcine, Diaconu etc... but they came to Canada for a better life and better training which has been instrumental in propelling them to the top. So Canadians have become edeared to them- big deal, if they went to the US or England instead the same would have happened with the fans there. The fact is that Canada has rich boxing history full of world champions and worthy challengers. Not bad for a Hockey obsessed country with a population more than 10 times smaller than the United States.

Pretty ironic how Americans did the same with Arturo Gatti who is in fact, Canadian.

Abrahamyan would never have become Abraham if he had not moved to Germany. Without the Germans and Germany, he's just be another Abrahamyan no one's ever heard of. The same goes for Bute and Diaconu. Had they not gone to Montreal/Canada, they'd just be a couple of dudes, hoping to win the EBU title one day, if they can pay the bills to remain pros for long enough, that is.

Genes, family background and national values are important, but without the right set-up, the right support network, the right system, you get nowhere. Germany and Germans have as much claim over Abraham as the Armenians have, not least because they are the ones who come in their thousands to cheer for him. Montreal/Quebec/Canada have as much claim over Bute and Diaconu as the Romanians have, if not more, especially in the case of Bute. They are the ones who helped him get where he is now; they are the ones who bring him home in the last minutes of a hard fight; they are the ones who with their encouragement and support helped him get up from the knockdown at the last moment to remain a champ.

    ;)

God bless Germany and the Germans and Quebec, the Quebecois/ Canada and the Canadians, is all I have to say!:deal

Dinu would have to be considerably better than Ciocan to become as successful, I'd say. Look at Diaconu, for example. He might be Champ, but he'll have to defend in Branco's back yard because they couldn't get enough money toghether this time for Diaconu to fight in Romania and Interbox are no longer interested in promoting him. Michael Loewe (Mihai Leu) wasn't better than Diaconu, but he got to win a title because by fighting at home, in Germany, in front of judges who supported him, in front of a friendly referee. Makes a big difference.

Well Dinu was considered the better fighter as an amateur but I personally liked Ciocan more.He was more entertaining.Wish him the best in the pros.About Diaconu I heard they will push the fight 2 weeks or 3 so he wil fight on december 6th:-( ,just to stall and find the necessary money. If he would be fighting in Branco's backyard the news would have been up.This postponing **** is really pissing me.:fire .I imagine how it affects Diaconu's mental game...:-( ,So Diaconu went from fighting october 4th(tentative date with Dawson) went to almost certainly fight december 6th,that is a lot of layoff for this type of fight:patsch .About Leu,his career was kinda ''german'' made, even retired undefeated, but you gotta admit, his title winning fight with Samaniego was great.
