When you have WBC Champ Sergio Martinez fighting unranked Darren Barker, welter weight Paul Williams, Junior Middle Sergei Dzinziruk, Mathew Macklin, Chavez Jr, etc. why does Golovkin get criticized for fighting underwhelming opposition. At least he is beating the **** out of these over matched opponents, and not getting his arse handed to him like Martinez.

**** these cholos with their little men champs. Mexicans are just
mad because they can only win titles in women's sized weight
divisions. GGG is ducking nobody, they're ducking him. Coward
ass Sergio needs to be stripped of the RING title and place it at
GGG's feet. Besides, it looks like a Froch vs GGG fight may happen
next year at a weight no mexican has ever or ever will win a title.

Golovkin wants to fight the other middleweight champions.................Why should he go up in weight 8 lbs., or to 175? Ward refuses to fight Stevenson or Kovalev. Why don't they ask SOB Ward to go up and fight someone outside his home town with his personal referee and judges? Pretty soon you will hear the haters asking for Golovkin to fight a Klitshcko...............

The same ones that want Golovkin to fight at 168 or 175 say nothing about Wilder who is ranked #3 WBC, #6 WBA and # 12 IBF without his ever fighting anyone in the top 50! Wilder appears to be planing on the WBC giving him their title without fighting anyone! Perhaps a box-off with Sconiers or Butterbean?!

Actually Golovkin fought Chavez Jr., though not in a real fight, but in a sparring session :)

Golovkin sure got the best of Chavez in the sparring session, in a real fight he would stop Chavev. Chavez fought Ishida who went the distance with Paul Williams, was never hurt, nor knocked down. Golovkin went to Japan and knocked Ishida through the ropes and out cold in the third round!!!

Doable, but he'd be extremely lucky to even sign to fight these guys in the same year... chances are slim.

Why do I recall Murray saying he'd fight Golovkin in a heartbeat?! Couple weeks before the Wood fight announcement..?

You're right about Froch, the time is now. I'm thinking Froch will want this one at home, too... unless there's awesome money involved for it to be part of a great card say in Vegas (or MSG), PPV or not. He's the champ, and really high on himself right now. Even more after trashing Groves, I'm sure. Where as Golovkin would probably not mind going over since he's fought in lots of different countries, I believe HBO wouldn't be thrilled at the idea of having this high profile fight on tape delay, or real early in the evening. They'll have to sweeten the pot quite a bit for Froch & Hearn to agree to a Golovkin fight in the US.

No news on Lemieux, all we know is they'll try to work him up to championship contender status over the next year or so, title shot might only be late 2014, early 2015.
