In the build up to the Peterson fight alls i heard Khan talk about repeatedly was Floyd Mayweather and other "big fights" he was looking for after Peterson, I remember thinking at the time Amir, your simply not good enough to treat people as tune ups. Now, 6 months down the line, and a month before his next fight i read on Sky a quote from Khan "My plan is to move up to 147 and face one of the big names up there," Khan told Sky Sports News. "You've got Victor Ortiz, you've got Manny and Mayweather" atsch Worry about your next opponent Amir, before you get stopped in your tracks again. This is why i really cannot tolerate this guy, he's so arrogant about his ability, he genuinely thinks he's in the same class as Pacquiao or Mayweather. I hope Garcia splatters him in a round, He'll probs still talk about fighting Mayweather anyway.
Its fair to say he's not particularly bright i remember after he beat michael gomez a few years ago, he was claiming gomez to be a world class fighter :-(
He got asked a question about if he still has plans on moving up, for **** sake. What do you want him to say? I don't understand where the **** people always get the impression that he's overlooking people just because he talks about his future plans. As if he's really just thinking about Mayweather and thinking Garcia will be a breeze.... My arse he is.... He KNOWS the task ahead of him and he'll train accordingly. All these people that say the guy is naive and arrogant should think about the situation a bit more. It's as if people think the guy is actually a ****** or some ****.
He's always looking passed his opponents, he's been doing it for years.... Get Garcia out of there, and then move on. He should already be in line for a big fight at 147. The Peterson debacle has effectively cost him 9/12 months of his career.
open your eyes, he's arrogant as ****. It's ok to say your planning on moving up in weight, but when your CONSTANTLY touting a bout with the best boxer in the world after you have just been beat and looked like a pudding against Mccloskey. I can't stand him, his delusions of grandeur drive me mad.
Please explain to me how you know he's been overlooking his opponents for years.. Do you stay with him on a day to day basis knowing that he's skipping training sessions and just thinking about Mayweather? Do you? Did you ever consider the fact that his opponents having something to do with his fights? Did it ever cross your mind that maybe Khan's not invincible and not every bad performance/loss is the result of overlooking his opponents?
Did Khan run off with your mum or something? The dude gets asked questions by people who have an interest in such a fight being made down the line (i.e. Sky, HBO, Ringmag etc etc) - what is he meant to say "no, no way, Floyd is God, how dare I contemplate such a fight IN THE FUTURE (i.e. as a goal to work towards, to motivate him)" - dumb ****, go do something with your life instead of blowing your gasket each time Khan opens his mouth. Kell Brook smashes Khan, ain't no blueprint!:smoke
He has looked passed opponents in the past thinking he was too good. Isn't a ridiculous stretch to think he will do it again.
**** off you loser, he's a pro boxer who can say what he wants when he wants, if you don't like it then do not watch any of his fights, AK could not give two shits regarding your stupid and childish opinion...pathetic scum, Naz, JC, Hatton, Lewis, Froch talked plenty of **** in the build up to their fights but oh when Khan does it he's branded as arrogant and stupid...serious losers on this forum man...either way if you do not like it then **** off and don't watch any of his fights!
Most of the times we dont actually know anything, you clearly dont like him which affect's your ability to discuss rationaly. All boxers discuss there future, Im sure they all aspire to be World Champions and to beat the best there is. Khan is no different and is beating some of the best there is, infact in his weight division he is one of the best in the World and thats a fact! :good
