    Your missing the point.

I don't fault the guy for wanting to fight the best, I don't fault the guy for wanting to make money.

What i have been saying (since the original post) is that he is simply NOT GOOD ENOUGH to look past his opponents (which he is clearly doing)

    Get it?

"I'm gonna fight Floyd in maybe 9 months, I'll get Lamont Peterson out the way, have a fight at 147 and then fight Floyd"

Quote from Khan (I'll provide the video if you want)

    He doesn't look past people?

No. You are coming across as a twat and repeating yourself to prove some stupid point that matters **** all in the grand scheme of things. Just from this I can tell a lot about you.

So Amir Khan is not good enough to look past his opponents? Let's examine this statement.

What do you mean by looking past? That he's not focused on Garcia? He's too busy thinking about Mayweather? Maybe instead of working on a gameplan for Garcia Freddy has been working on a gameplan for Mayweather. Is this what you mean? Because if it isn't then explain what you mean by looking past.

As for the not good enough part, it's like this. He wasn't good enough to beat Garcia, no ****. It means **** all, and you can stop posting quotes because we've read them all a hundred times.

The reason other boxers say "I will take it one fight at a time" is because they are afraid of being laughed at if they lose. Do you think they are not dreaming of hitting the big time? Khan is not afraid of that. He knows people like you will gloat and say "I told you so."

It means jack **** because it doesn't stop him from focusing on Garcia. All it does is make him look a bit silly.

Answer me this. Do you think Khan was not focused and not preparing properly for Garcia? Do you think he slacked off because he thought it would be an easy fight? Do you think he was watching tapes of Mayweather rather than Garcia?

So you came to this conclusion just because of a quote? It's possible he did slack but almost impossible to be sure of this. You are not in his training camp, you can't read into his mind. None of us know the truth, but it's highly likely he did not slack. He has Freddy Roach, a world class trainer who would have been constantly telling the him not to underestimate Garcia. Freddy would never allow it. Khan can talk about Mayweather all he wants to, but in the gym Freddy will have been working on Garcia's weaknesses, not Mayweather. Mayweather would not have been a thought in their mind while they were doing their routines in the gym. This is why I say it means nothing. Mayweather is just a name he drops during interviews (usually when reporters ask dumb questions like "would you like to fight Mayweather some day? Khan not being the sharpest tool in the box will say he'd love to, while a more media savy boxer will reply with the standard "One fight at a time" cliche to avoid stick)

David Haye thought it was a foregone conclusion he would beat Chisora. He was right, but he prepared as if it was a tough fight. Fighters may expect an easy fight, but they usually prepare as if it will be a tough one. He said he would knock Chisora out early. He thought it was a foregone conclusion. Do you think because of this he did not prepare for a 10 round fight? Even if he tried to slack off, Adam Booth would never allow this.

I believe Khan did prepare well. I believe he was in superb condition as he is a true professional, and did not take Garcia lightly. I believe the reason he lost is because his ring IQ is shite and he is still a flawed fighter that leaves his average chin too open to shots. No deeper reason than that. Like I said, when he's interviewed he can mention Mayweather's name all he wants, but when he's in the gym, and when he's in the ring, I believe he's fully focused on the current opponent. Mayweather wasn't a distraction. Just a dream.
