Cotto hit Pacquiao a lot. Pac just showed major testicular fortitude by hiding the pain.

Cotto landed a few decent shots but I think that Clottey will touch him more. I think that Clottey's defense will provide him more opportunity, and with his build, he should be more durable. By being able to absorb more punishment, he should be able to return more. Also, because of his size, if Clottey comes in on fight night at 160 or so, his punches should pack more of a wallop.

Sustained damage? No. We'll have to see about Clottey. Pacquiao had a few hairy moments against Cotto, and as you seem to be pointing out Pacquiao did not have to endure a full on assault from Cotto for all 11+ rounds. Just the first half, primarily.

That is very true. He even said in the post fight... Pacquiao was hiding the pain he said "he hit me and it hurt, but i didn't want to show him I was hurt.. but yeah it really did hurt." something along those lines. Its true just look at him post fight, he got F'ed up...but won.

Cotto probably gave Pac some of the worst punishment he's ever taken. I mean, he's accumulated some punishment from Morales and Marquez before, but I think they pale in comparison to Cotto, despite defeating him.

I'm definitely not underestimating Clottey. If he can handle Margarito's worst, I'm thinking he can chew Pacquiao's punches and spit them aside (when he gets through). I just can't think how Pac can possibly penetrate that shell D. If anything, it'll be Pac's higher workrate that'll get him the UD by utilizing superior footwork, footspeed, and the punches in bunches. I don't see any chance in hell Pac KO's or TKO's Clottey unless he just simply runs out of gas.

He took a lot of serious punches against Cotto, some punches he took while coming IN and still handled them. I can remember some of the hooks he took I thought Pac was going to AT LEAST be rocked badly or hit the canvas from these punches yet he took them well. Look at Pac after the fight, he was swollen and had bruises. That was a rough fight where both landed what they wanted to.

Exactly, I don't get this thread either. If the quality of videos on YouTube are poor the author might want to find any other way to view the fight properly. From the first round you knew Cotto was going to land and land A LOT.

I think Cotto hurt Pacquiao alot , Cotto seemed to lose his head after the first knockdown if it wasn't for that I think things could of been different ?

Pac gave Cotto free shots at him on the ropes. Rope-a-dope. If Cotto was good enough,
or strong enough as advertised Manny would have been on his back. But as I assumed. He hits good but not the kind of murderous power publicized on ESB.

Ilsey quality video with Morales and Pac.

I think Hatton landed a good shot on him prior to getting taken out and Cotto was very accurate over the first 4 rounds, Pacman has got a good chin.

Plus Clottey isnt a massive puncher and i cant envision him blasting Pac out of there, if anything the man will have to grind Pac down to beat him.
