I like Solis. He has good power, excellent hand speed and solid defense. He KTFO David Haye ruthlessly in the ams, and I would love to see that rematch in the pros.

I can't say for sure if OS has the heart for this game though, so who knows if he'll be coming back into contention if he comes back at all.

 

Solis was beating the **** out of Vitali

 

Fat slob should of had his purse withheld. Feel bad for anybody who paid for that garbage

 

His injury is typical for someone being out of shape and training too hard without a build up phase. I bet he had hardly been training for the past year before the fight.
It's a shame because I think he could have made a great pro.

Lets get this right. It really irks me that people on here claim Solis has no talent simply due to his physique. He is a very talented boxer, and if he was dedicated to the sport he'd definitely have been a force. As for the Vitali fight, i can't say he won the round but it certainly looked like he could make it competitive prior to the bizzare stoppage.

 

And then he woke up and ate a dozen more donuts.

 

Not at all. Vitali always takes a round or two to warm up. Solis was going to get hammered just like Gomez, his Cuban buddy.

I highly doubt that. Vitali would have won, but Solis had enough about him to make it competitive, even being out of shape.

That's ridiculous! I can understand the difference between amateur and pro but KO power is power no matter what even if you are wearing a headgear or not. And Gonzalez didn't have a glass chin, he was just the most crazy and undisciplined Cuban fighter in the pros ever. Heck, I say he took some brutal punches from Bowe for 6 rounds before being KO'd. If he would had a weak chin, Bowe would have KO'd him in 2 rounds.

I wanted to ask you, is there any Cuban boxer that you feel is really good? Since you always bash the Cubans non-stop ... :huh
