Floyd never once said he was planning to fight again in 2010 not once.

And you are gullible enough to think Floyd ducked margo. Fact is Margo wasnt a viable opponent over baldomir, as the lineal title was up for grabs with a million dollars more.

Secondly margos best win at that time was andrew six heads lewis.

    please learn your boxing.

When you state coming off win, did you mean not like Judah, who lost to Baldomir before facing Gayweather or not like Corley who lost to Judah a fight prior to facing Gayweather or not like Augustus who lost 3 consecutive fights before winning against a journeyman prior to facing Mayweather?

    You have to be specific.

GOW7 posted a vid, which I think you should check out. I saw it a few weeks back, myself. Freddie's thought process on choosing opponents is what drives Pac's career. Obviously Arum plays a part as well, but for different reasons. You mention how Freddie was leary of SSM because of his dominant performance over Margarito. That's partially true...SSM has never suffered a bad beating in his career (I mean a beating of Cotto/Marg purportions). The interview in this vid is prior to that Marg/SSM fight. Notice that he's also leary of Margarito too, at that point. But, listen closely to what he says about Cotto. He had no reservations about fighting Cotto....who is also bigger than Manny and also one of the hardest punchers at WW. And Manny had only had one other fight at WW, at that time. Why do you think that is? This should be obvious. Freddie picks VULNERABLE opponents for Manny. A fighter coming off a dominant performance, WILL NOT get a shot at Manny. Margarito is just the latest example of that. A fight with Floyd is the exception to their rule, because, it is so lucrative and in such high demand.

Looking at Pac record he's been cheating in the Philippines since 1996.Damn Cheater what else has he done and gotten away with.He cheated and still got KO.
Why is it that all Pac Philippines fighters that he has fought in the past still weight under 130 or less ,why is he the only one is he God or Superman. Again I say Asian fighters don't get that strong or grow check the history its a damn Fact. Why is it he's fighting at a catchweight for the WBC title while other champion didn't.

    1996-02-09 112 Rustico Torrecampo 110 11-4-4
Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, Philippines L KO 3 10
Pacquiao was a lb over the specified catchweight of 111 lbs. and was penalized by wearing heavier gloves against Torrecampo.

Why the **** didn't you just put it in the title then?...'When will Pacquiao fight someone coming off a GOOD win?'

Name the better opposition (with winning streaks, or coming off a good win) Pacquiao could have fought at the time he fought them over the last couple years. He fought the best at 140lbs. Picked up a good win against Cotto. The only opponents you can really debate is Clottey and Margarito...if he had fought Mosley instead of Clottey, and maybe Bradley or a 154lb titlist instead of Margarito.

He could not fight Mosley. Mosley was in contract with Berto. Pac was negotiating with PBF. That fell apart and Clottey was the only 147 lber left for Pac. PBF could have gone with Clottey or Cotto, but Cotto decided to take some time off after his defeat with Pac, death of his father and demotion of his last trainer.

So Pac went in contract with Clottey. AFTER they signed the contract (I think it was about 2 weeks after), the Haiti earthquake made Berto pull out of the Mosley fight. At that point, PBF and Mosley decided to fight each other since there where no other top 147 left to fight.

At this point, there is no 147 left for Pac to fight except PBF, Berto and Margo. Between Margo and Berto, there is really not much of a difference in regards to resume. Although, I would rather see him fight Berto just because Berto deserves a payday and a shot at the best more than Marg.
I do admit a fight with Marg will pull in more money and he is more physically dangerous than Berto (stronger). Neither one is stylistically that dangerous to Pac.

I know all that...but he's arguing that Pacquiao could/should have faced someone who had a good winning streak at the time/coming off of a great win. But the only better option for Pacquiao other than Cotto at 147lbs was Mosley at the time. But yeah, Mosley was still in contract to fight Berto...

This is why I pointed out that the only bouts that could be debated were the Clottey and Margarito bouts. Other than that, Pacquiao (Arum) has probably chosen the best opposition he could have at the time...since the De la Hoya bout.
