Punch counts drop, selective punching and stratedgy comes more in to play because of weight difference .

Usyk will NOT be the jumping around /high volume guy he was fighting at sub 200 ,this SHOULD be common sense . Hes going to need to be careful of punch counts against bigger durable guys up from the Cruiserweights.

This will be an advantage for him ,the stamina will be there and select shots with Ring IQ should get hima 90% win at HW.

Can he beat AJ ? I doubt that.

Can he Defeat Wilder ? Very likely.

Can he Defeat Fury ? Maybe ,, hes not a Wallin volume puncher though.

Can he defeat Ruiz ? Easily.

Those discrediting him already ,did you really understand what you were watching ? lol Do you understand Usyk will adapt to the weight by fight and his pro debut wanted the rounds ?

Fight mechanics change at HW ,its a why when ppl tell me Ali in the 60's defeats everyone, one really has to scratch their head and wonder what plain of existence these people live in ?

If being a sub 200 pounder was more advantage Usyk would weigh 195/200 pounds wouldn't he ?

I think Usyk better stay away from Joshua for another few fights. Hes going to be effective as a HW with better thinking and careful planned stratedgy but that comes with more ddanger ,these guys have better chins, some of those shots Usyk landed sleeps most CW's easy.

Usyk is a legit elite fighter at CW or HW,

Dude he was way better chances against aj then wilder. Wilder one right hand and boom he will be flat on his ass.
We can make a bet on that

Can't comment on last night as I haven't seen it but on Usyk case we have seen him on the ams fight a really big guy in Joe Joyce and he looked sharp albeit a long time ago.
Would of been better had we seen against his original opponent in Carlos Takam.

Happens to often to be fluke with Wilder, does it at any stage in the fight also.Would be an unbelievable achievement if Usyk ends up beating the top five.

He's AJ's mando /WAS,if you know what you are looking at you don't wait, you know what you see.
If he fought Ruiz next everyone who knows boxing knows hes the favorite so what are you waiting on ?

Even Witherspoon said he defeats Ruiz ,not AJ. This is something that doesn't need over thinking. Usyk defeating fighter C doesn't mean hes now ready for fighter A all of a sudden. This is the things you guys get wrong all the time.

Usyk defeating Ruiz would not be unbelievable, hard to imagine Ruiz actually defeating Usyk and that style that comes with it.

Assuming you think Ruiz is a top 5 ? im not sold on that either on one fight with many x factors involved. Any CW is going to be tentative when hes fighting HW and is a official bout as pro,he was on cruise Control ,don't think that's how he will approach the next fight and so forth, punch counts are a learning curve at this class ,its why Wlad took losses himself.

I disagree. Punch count drops because that is just the fighters in this era.

Kownacki vs Arreola landed a combined 667 punches while throwing 2,172 punches, far surpassing the previous mark of 1,730.

    Tua vs Ike:
    Tua 282 outta 755
    Ibeabuchi 332 outta 975
Battle of the Davids Tua vs Izon was another HW fight where over a 1,000 were thrown.

    Holy vs Bowe I
    Holy landed 242
    Bowe landed 357.
Both had connect rate over 50%, yet these guys weren't throwing club shots, they were precise, accurate.

Ali vs Frazier was once the most thrown in a HW fight. And we didn't have punchstats to count Holmes vs Norton.

Ali's last fight before being stripped, I remember counting about 40 landed in the last 2 rounds a piece.
That means Ali could connect more in 2 rounds (80) than Fury in 12 rounds (under 100 per Klitschko & Wilder)

Bert Cooper vs Ray Mercer had to have been a punchfest-extravaganza.
Had Ruiz vs AJ gone the distance, Andy @ 56 punches going inot round 7, could have landed at least 130 if he kept the same pace. Not a killer pace, but it was the result of what happens when a HW fights mad.

Today's HW's don't fight with that killer instinct. They are skilled, some even powerful. Few are all 3:skilled powerful & warrior-minded.
That's virtually every era of HW's minus the present.

Usyk is far more likely to beat AJ than Wilder, FAR more. And that should be obvious "if you know what you're seeing"

Wilder couldnt hit the ducks at the carnival let alone a legitimate moving boxing target. Usyk wins every round as Fury did.

when AJ defeats Usyk they will still say he's unproven
    Lol

Wilders puncher chance still outweigh Usyk chances of imposing on Joshua, If you know styleś then you know a southpaw getting a win over Joshua is very slim, , add to that lack or heavy hands it shifts to Wilder having a better chance at getting by AJ.

Kownacki and Arreola and Ruiz didn't move up in weight ? these guys have been heavy all the time ,weight wouldn't really be a big deal they are set body types ,Arreola was much trimmer then normal however, Kownackis always very heavy, guys like him and /Ruiz aren't exactly at a disadvantage unless someone decides to box around them who is much longer .Its why Kownacki struggled with Martin at times and why Ruiz will be in big trouble if AJ fights smart .

Hoyfield was 205 /210 in most big fights.

No one you mentioned was moving up in weight that showed improve punch counts even Tua was at a low weight against Ike hw was 226 pounds .

Usyk spent his entire career as a CW ,it's obvious his count was 40% lower or so nearing 220. Maybe he'll adjust more but don't expect the same reation times he had as a CW both of hand and foot.

Fighters punch counts do not go up as the weight does Ali of 205 proves this as well , for every fight you !mention I can triple it, guys like Klitschko going from 225 to 240 ,Lewis from 220 t0 240 plus ,mike Tyson was not the same guy from 215 to 225/230 .

Fighters fight smarter with punch counts big men have to be careful its not that they don't fight with killer instinct its bc the average HW is 6'5 now and over 230 pounds easily. If rounds were 2 miutes I can assure you you would see mostly knockouts with 12 minute potential less time taking away from the fight.

Why would Usyk cut at HW? Usyk was the exact same size vs Wallin as he was when he fought at CW.
