You mean a bs title correct? Who did Valuev beat to get that title? Oh yea it was given to him by the bs wba and Don King. Wlad destroyed the "real" champion Chagaev who was the first man to beat Valuev.

the problem is, that there is no ppv in Germany + there won´t be any bidding because the Klitschkos have a deal with RTL exclusivly + even if there was a bidding no other TV station could put enough money on the table.
You can say that´s not Haye´s problem, but on the other hand the deal Haye offered would mean Wlad would get less than 50% of everything the fight creats. And can you really excpect the heavyweight Champ (Wlad) to agree to such a deal?
That´s the problem, Haye wants more than 50% against the champ, hardly a fair offer, even if you could argue it´s not Haye´s fault the klitschkos are stuck in Germany with no ppv.

no, he was being paid by setanta and setanata only! He pulls out the fight and then a few weeks later Setanta come out and claim they are going under, maybe he was asked to keep it quiet while they tried to save the company, using the bad back was just the cover for it.

Then Haye should not have said in April that he's willing to share 50% of the British cash!

This is not about who deserves what, this is about one side making a firm demand, then they get an offer that matches the demand then Haye reconsiders over-night and suddenly claims their SELF-SUGGESTED DEAL is unfair to them. That's just highly unprofessional and doesn't reflect well on Haye's seriousness of getting this fight done.

I dont think it's right to say that nobody knows who the klitschkos are in england, or round europe, or the world. People who have even a bit of interest in boxing, do. I think it IS right to say that the vast majority of people just dont want to PAY to see them fight, cos the entertainment level is mediocre at best and you just don't get value for money, unless ur a hardcore Klitschko(s) fan. Arran is totally right though, that their fights don't even get aired on british sky tv which isnt PPV. So even if you wanted to watch them, you can't!

Although im a haye fan and want him to beat both klitschkos, i do watch klitschko fights, cos im a boxing fan. Although most of the time its a struggle to stay in my seat to do so, such are the aforementioned entertainment levels of their pawing matches.

As much as people may not like haye, he HAS got knockout power and he CAN entertain. That is what sells his fights.... and of course that he's british. He took over 10,000 with him to fight valuev. To say haye is a nobody, is very naive. Most other top levels fighters could only dream of having that much away suppport.

...And If he fights harrison, its a bit of a novelty match really cos most people will watch just to see the real dreamer and trash talker, harrison, get knocked out early on. Probably in the first round. Fact is, although its not a Klitschko (which it should be for whatever real reason) it will generate a pretty decent income, which is why haye would take the fight for easy money with little energy expended.

Giving a competitive fight with Lewis is more than enough to rise general awareness in UK, dont you think?

that was almost 10 years ago, and it was on at 4am! (no non-boxing fan stayed up to pay for a 4am fight!) seriously, if i asked my close cirlce (or anyone else i fooking know) of friends i reckon only 1 maybe 2 would know who a klit was, lets not forget this is a bit of a small sport nowadays, any of them would know who chuck ****ing lidell or michael bisping is however......thats the way the sports gone, backwards. UFC gets multiple shows here now, weekly shows on 5 as well as that Ultimate Fighter and the big monthly events, boxers are becoming less well known than before because **** all boxing is shown outisde of Haye, Kahn, Froch (on a hidden channel) and some domestic friday night stuff

Was Klitscho vs Thompson PPV in the UK?
Cuz I'm quite sure I was listening to Jim Watt's commentary when I watched that fight.
And I'm quite sure I never paid a dime to watch it either.
Must have been free UK then hmmm does that mean you were bullshitting again? Oops.
