Mugs. Film it from the classic "whole ring" frontal shot please. So we can properly appreciate the boxing. Not from some stupid Eastenders drama cinematic angle...

Edit :sorry for the rant but it really is annoying

Just watched the whole Crolla fight and no clear idea who has won. Terrible filming again from sky. Great views of the referees back and the fighters backs for that matter. No views of footwork, no idea on ring generalship etc. Can't even properly tell landed, deflected punched etc.

Not sure if it's actually because they think they are filming good cinematic shots or that they are just corrupt and able to better manipulate fight results this way.

Its not just sky, there have always been terrible camera angles in boxing.

    Here are two classics.

    1. Oscar vs Vargas - left hook was taken from the back of Vargas so you couldn't see the punch.

    2. Hatton vs Pacquioa - first knockdown was again taken behind Hattons back so you couldn't see the punch.

Its a square ring ffs. Take one camera and show one angle.

It's shockingly bad. The camera men don't hold the cameras still so the shots are constantly moving also, not to mention the crap angles in the first place.

HBO film using mostly the classic frontal full ring shot. So do Showtime mostly. But sky just seem to be complete amateurs or corrupt in order to help manipulate fight outcome- how the hell can you score the fight as a viewer from these shots.

yeah the constantly moving camera is an issue particularly when it is behind a fighter or the ref, zooming in and out slightly. Don't watch east enders but am sure it has the same cheap camera work

Couldn't agree more. I remember one round in the Joshua/Takam fight, the action was centre ring and all I could see was Joshua's back for over a minute. Might be ok for the casual viewer but for boxing heads it's ****.

Its been amateur hour on sky boxing for years now and only seems to get worse. It falls in line with the rest of modern British tv. Manipulative, PC bollocks. The cheap production as always been there though.

Yeah, I don’t get it. They shoot mostly from the waist up and way too close. Sometimes only one fighter is in the frame. It’s unwatchable.

Shocking coverage from Sky again- just film fights from the classic front ring angle like HBO, showtime, itv and everyone else!

Unless of course this would make fixing fights more difficult? Ah yes...
