When Will The Top Fighters Start Making Million Dollar Paydays?

I don't know why any fans are anxious to see fighters making millions per fight in MMA. I really don't want to see it following the boxing model. I am glad that fighters stay hungry, and the fans get to see so many great fights. It isn't like the top MMA fighters are struggling with money right now. They are making GREAT money. Much more than any of them every thought they would. Much better than working on a roof all year long for pennies on the dollar of what they are making now.

 

The pay scale revealed in Randy's contract was..

-100,000 - 175,000 buys - $1 per buy
-175,000 - 300,000 buys - $1.50 per buy
-300,000 - 330,000 buys - $2 per buy
-330,000 - plus buys - $3 per buy


If that holds true to what other people are getting... GSP and Brock both made like 4 million at ufc 100.

GSP in his last fight with Hardy would have made like 2.5 mil


You get paid if you have ppv points.

 

I like how the UFC puts bonus's etc in their contracts.It promotes and rewards fighters who go for the win/or give it their all.

If you gave a fighter say 250grand garunteed for his fight regardless of his performance or you gave a fighter 150grand with the possibilty to double that for winning, which contract would more then likely get a great performance??

I think the ufc with their give a little but dangle a extra piece infront of them type of contracts are great.

Keeps the fighters hungry.
