When will you people realize, Wilder doesn't try to win rounds?

Wilder sticks to his strengths. To me his temperament is his biggest strength, he never panics when he is behind on the cards and is being thoroughly outboxed because he knows he has the equalizer. It still takes a lot of skill to get the ko in the end .

His chin is pretty solid, he has been in there with big hitters, hit flush on the head but has never been seriously hurt or concussed

If Wilder actually had elite skills to match his power, he would be unbeatable.

If your mother had a pen1s she would have pulled out before cuming so you'd have never been born.

1st time for everything! Totally disagree! He aint fine with losing rounds, he accepts it and deals with it.

I'm in line with U on that 1-hitta quitta! It's a beautiful thang!

I think he does panic, you can see it in his body language and his facial expression. Look at the difference in composure tonight between Ortiz and Wilder, Wilder was looking tight and scared to do much whereas Ortiz was relaxed all the way through. And that's either the reason his boxing sucks or it's because his boxing sucks that he has this deer in the headlights look about him, he doesn't REALLY know what to do with a skilled opponent, he's lost.

His power bails him out every time, without it, he would be a journeyman at best. And I'm not saying this to attack Wilder, that's all that he needs to win so good for him.

    I agree.

He knows he has that equaliser and it will land at some point.

He does do an effective job of luring fighters into relaxing their guard/defence by not throwing for extended periods, so whether it's intentional or not this is some kind of trap. It even worked on Fury in the final found, but if Fury had boxed pure defence in that round Wilder would have lost the fight. So in most cases his strategy definitely seems to work at HW where people don't move so well and slow down rapidly.

You're exactly the type of poster i was referring to when i made this thread. A guy who doesn't understand what he's watching and a wilder hater in general. The younger wilder before he fell in love with his power did indeed attempt to box he used his jab had a higher workrate and showed more movement but somewhere along the way he just said forget it and realized that he has a nuclear missile in his right hand and will now spend alot of his time staging it for launch and he's perfectly fine doing so because he knows when he lets it fly that the game is over. So yes it can be feast or famine for him but so far it has paid off and yes 1 day it could back fire but it hasnt.

Exactly this, he's not fine with getting schooled and accepting it. He just can't do anything about it. He's very limited and fights the same every fight against all opponents.

He has no plan B/C/D/E and so far it's worked for him mainly because of the opposition and all of his fights were in-house under PBC banner, he doesn't travel or fights on the cards controlled by other promotions. This makes it a whole of a lot easier.

People can moan all they want about him only having power an getting outboxed so what. The fight is 12 3 minute rounds he could lose 11 rounds 2.59 of the 12 but if he knocks his opponent out in that last second he wins the fight that’s boxing. it is what it is say he can’t box all you want but if he wins boxing matches inside the distance it doesn’t matter. He’s not doing anything he shouldn’t do. He has massive power an uses it to his advantage. It’s a good thing he’s lacking in some areas makes it more interesting. if he was a master boxer with the power he has he would be unbeatable so stop moaning an enjoy the fights.
