This Margo starting late is a myth. He fights at one speed. In the early rounds William's was fresh enough to negate Tony's workrate.

    Williams won a close fight.

Though I have a different view of the outcome, I agree with that completely. Paul Williams started as fast as anyone has ever started any fight, ever, and Margarito was getting blown away because of it. He didn't "start late," that's a crock of ****. He could barely see Paul's arms moving he was going so fast. Virtually anyone would have "started late" against that torrent of activity.

This "Margarito started late" bull**** is just ****in ridiculous!

Wha!?!? He didn't hear the bell to round 1? What about the one to rounds 2-6? Margo only fights one speed! Too bad for him Paul was giving him too many angles and peppering his face with 100 punces/round...

Yep, I agree, no doubt. Williams exploded on Margarito.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't swept up in this idiocy that Margo somehow 'gave' Williams the early rounds by starting slow.

Williams was full of energy, movement, throwing a crazy amount of punches that kept Tony in check.

It was only later, as Williams tired and was worn down by Tony's punches that Margarito took over.

I urge people to rewatch the early rounds and ask themseves is Margarito fighting slow or Williams fighting fast?

Williams started fast. And there was not really much Margo could do except to keep trudgung through. I give him credit for that. And I give him credit for the most effective shots. But he didn't win a single round prior to 7, and he actully lost 10 and 12.

This is why I think a rematch will go almost the same. And the longer Margo waits, the more experience Paul will get, and possibly the slower Margo will get....

Margo can beat Paul, no doubt, but the longer he waits the harder it will be for him.

Considering Margarito's reflexive 'popularity' based on the awesome number of Cotto fans out there, I'd say the results of this poll are mighty damn interesting.. No question.

Yeah, but he won:lol: . The fight wasn't close in my eyes. Williams clearly won a unanimous decision, and he did it with punches, and not illusions lol...
