Lets put our cards on the table when will Mayweather have done enough ?

Beating Cotto ? Beating Williams ?

If you say Cotto then if mayweather does fight and beat him you forfeit your right to ever say that mayweather should fight this or that guy to really cement his legacy

    The same for Williams

There will always be someone accross the Horizon and you cant fight everyone.

For a camp that makes claims that his fighter is better than Muhammad Ali and side by side with Sugar Ray Robinson, and who say their fighter is the best of all time, you're correct, Floyd can't live up to that. He isn't the best fighter ever, he hasn't fought the best opposition ever, not close, and is too much of a businessman to ever be in top 15 ever.

Floyd could clean the division and never gain the credit.

He has to beat Cotto to satisfy me but he could do even more. Why should he retire at age of 30 when he is in his prime and a beast like Cotto is around. He has still 2 more years of being prime and maybe even more. He could fight Cotto, Williams, Margarito, Mosley. Cotto is likely to become the next big thing, the #1 p4p, he will regret not fighting him. Hatton showed that he has trouble with speed and weight in the Collazo fight. Cotto proved that he can deal with speed by fighting Judah, MAlignagi and Mosley.

there will ALWAYS be another beast around...ALWAYS. thats why many fighters fight too long and get annihilated when theyre past their prime.

After Cotto, theres Williams, and then Mosley, and then Spinks, and then Forrest, and then Diaz, and then Berto, and then Malignaggi, and then Margarito, and then Pacquaio, and then Alcine, and then a whole slew of new contenders will be the next beast....

    So Cotto it is.

There will always be someone else to fight.

If mayweather fights and beats Cotto there will be someone clamoring that he should fight Williams ect.

Cotto. Cotto. Cotto. That's all I ask for.

He MUST fight Cotto, everything else should be secondary. If he beats him, he can seal his legacy and even retire if he wants. If he loses, he'll stain his legacy a bit, but will earn huge respect from me and probably most fans since he took the match.

He erased all doubt in my mind after the Hatton fight. People said that he couldn't fight under pressure, wouldn't stand toe to toe, couldn't punch hard, wasn't focused etc..

It would be good to see him fight Cotto and Williams, I'd give Williams the better chance (due to his reach), but Floyd appears to be in a class of his own right now, and I think the only thing that's going to beat him down the road is old age.

all we need is three Cotto, Williams, and either Vernon or Winky at 154 and he is the best of this era.

Surely Mayweather has done enough now, he is amazing and I really can't see anybody touching him. He is that good and we should all savour him while he is still around!

I don't like the guy and he's already better than Cotto, Williams, Forrest and Winky.

As others stated, the nature of boxing is that there is always a new guy coming through the ranks that commands attention and that everyone yells as the 'defining fight'.

He fights cotto, people will complain he should have fought Williams. He fights Williams, they'll say he ducked Cotto.

I think all he can do at this point is sit pretty and let Cotto fight Williams, then fights the winner and call it a day.

Not a hater at all here,,,but I would shut up forever if he fought Cotto and I would like to see him fight Williams too, but if he fights Cotto I will honestly shut the f*** up
