Hmm.... I thought Peterson would need to thrash Khan to get the decision, Cortez being the referee wouldn't be the ideal scenario.

Still, they're within their rights to object to his appointment and request someone else.

I'm so confident of Khan winning this, it seems like the entire thing is manufactured to giving him his crown back and erasing history. "I got robbed in the first fight and made it right in the second."

 

What does me in is when he says "it'll prove that I was robbed in the first fight"

It'll either prove that he needs everything his own way, or he got his tactics wrong first time out and was beaten fair and square, or if (hopefully) Peterson does a better job on him this time that he's really not all that good and nerds to go back to the drawing board.

His handling of the Mayweather-Ortiz debacle pretty much sums the senile old git up. He just can't follow what's going on when the pressure's intense and he likes to insert himself into fight.

He'll do the same here because, if a fighter's camp makes a big point about some perceived infraction, Cortez will make a huge issue out of it in the ring to the point of bias.
