Ali/Cleveland Williams, Hamed/Vincenzo Belcastro, Jones Jr/Thomas Tate, and Eubank Sr/Denys Cronin

I remember seeing this on regional London TV (also on Eurosport), I remember Denys Cronin as a top international amateur who had one-shot kayos as a pro.

To stand still on front of an opponent and counter in combination with power without a care in the world like that was pretty damn impressive - reflexes, timing and technique

Eubank and Naz not nearly as special as Ali and Jones.

Dude had 7 losses several by stoppage and was strictly a journeyman brought in for Eubank to feast on and thats what happened.

    Context is always your friend.

But when you have an agenda context is conveniently forgotten.

The point was purely the talent and ability displayed of the young prospects. Not the opponents numerical records. God.

    Point completely missed again.

The Jones Jr who fought Percy Harris was superhuman. It doesn't matter that it was Percy Harris. SUPERHUMAN

    Don’t let them bother you’ll

It’s a good topic. Sometimes you see something special and you know it. Has nothing to do with the opponent.

I remember the first time I saw Hector Camacho against Louis Loy and you just knew this guy wasn’t ordinary in any way. From that point on anytime he fought was appointment TV for me for a long, long time:

Great topic! Here’s a couple off the top of my head I remember from when I was young,
    Calzaghe vs Lacy
    Mayweather vs Gatti
    Pavlik vs Miranda
    Paul Williams vs Margarito
    Bute vs Miranda

Umm. Nothing exceptional. Does everything quite well and as it should be done? See how he gets on when he starts fighting people.

I don't see bewildering hand or foot speed or breathtaking power or unorthoxodies or showmanship or anything like that. I see a very good Eastern European fighter?

    Odd.

He really isn’t anything special at all I suppose being a jack of all trades is it’s own speciality but as far as being “special” in a Tyson, Jones, Naz, and Ali sort of way nope.

If you think Usyk hasn't fought anyone, then you need to check again. He has the best resume of any cruiserweight. Ever. Hamed had elite power, and fast reflexes. His fundamentals and balance were awful, hence why he went down extremely easily. Usyk has immaculate fundamentals, extremely good balance, and everything you'd want in a boxer, physically and athletically.

Usyk is better than both by considerable margins.
