he trains with peter harrison and dean powell does the corner because harrison not allowed to coz he's the am coach for scotland, that can't be good for him a guy he sees only when he fights working the corner, bit confusing eh?

The fight was very close, but I think Anderson won by two rounds based on his early work, round 2 and 3 must have been 10-8 rounds to Anderson, King was being held up by the ropes at the end of round 2 and had the ref stopped it there and then I dont think a lot would have been said, I've seen fights stopped for less. Perhaps Billy Nelson can pass comment on him still fighting like an amateur (which I agree with), he has trained him for the best part of his pro carear.

I have spoke to Kenny's brother since the fight and he said Kenny 100% admits the fight was very close and is happy to give King a rematch for the Celtic title in his next fight.

Well people see fights diffrently I think he won, you think he lost, but at the end of the day I think most people would agree had Andeson not broke a rib, it would have been a different fight, Please believe me a broken rib is not some little niggle through a fight, I find it hard having broken a rib myself to believe Anderson stayed upright for 6/7 rounds, and if King had attacked the body Anderson would have been finished.

How did you score the fight?.

how can people say kenny boxes like an amateur, kenny showed character with a broken rib and badly damaged eye injury, whether hes happy with his perfomance you'd need to ask him.

i pretty sure from what i rmember the commentators agreed that Anderson deserved to win , however they did point out that it was there for king to take if he had been bit more positive and not held back when anderson was clearly not throwing his damaged hand

I agree it showed a huge amount of character to finish that fight, most people dont seem to understand how bad a broken rib is, I just wonder what your view is on him Billy, people are saying he has went backwords and has not improved since he turned pro, you have trained him for the best part of that time, what do you make of him?, has he went backwords?, does he still box in a amatuer style?, I would guess Kenny is unhappy with his performance when he has offered King a rematch.

for people to say kenny boxes like an amatuer is laughable,i sense your trying to imply that he never learnt from myself when i trained him for his first 8 fights (8-0 6ko) and hadn't improved, well nobody was giving negative feedback during those fights only since and to be honest it's undeserved and uncalled for.kenny decided to move on to a new trainer so good luck to him

I didnt mean it like that Billy, I just wanted your opinion you must know his style better than most, I do think he still boxes in a amatuer style to a extent, but then when he was amatuer people used to say he boxed in a pro style, I dont think he has went backwords its other people who said that, I think people should give the guy a break he's been messed about badly by his manager and promoters and kept inactive, then he broke a rib and that made a fight that should have been fairly easy and hard nights work.
But lets not forget Tony Dodson only beat King by a round and suffered no injurys, and Tony Dodson was easily beating Quigley until he got stopped in the 12th, So King is a lot better than his record.

i think we should stear away form this conversation as i dont think an internet forum is the place to talk about kenny and his trainer ... as far as i know he is with Brad Welsh and that is it .the bald guy dean powell does his corner on fight nights ...

hope your well Billy ,looking forward to see Superman in action next week ...
