Whens the last time mayweather fought an elite fighter at his own weight class?

Wasn't he the linear title holder before Baldomir spanked him? Or does the best not refer to the linear champion anymore?

 

No most people dont think Collazo beat Hatton, the forums were pretty divided and more thought Hatton edged it than vice versa

Hatton turned the Mayweather fight down 5 times before accepting it over a period of 3years. Most of those times were at 140lbs, its said hatton wanted the fight at 147lbs so he'd still be the champion at 140lbs if he lost
