Wilder has ancestral power, possibly the GOAT. Joshuas power putting it kindly is maybe above average for a big stiff heavyweight
I’m used to Joshua being in fairly exciting fights with plenty of drama. That didn’t happen on Saturday so whilst it was a decent performance it’s not really a fight to remember. Joshua did a professional job, stuck to his plan and won. Doesn’t mean I have to pretend it was a thriller. Don’t see how that makes me a contrarian. I think you’re just gutted because you’ve spent the last six months being wrong on an almost daily basis about this fight.
I believe he covered both bases (it was intentional, or Ruiz had weights attached and it was a psychological ploy.) Both of course were obviously and completely wrong both before the event and after.
Ha ha. I'm not gutted at all man. I'm happy for Joshua. I know that man has worked his nuts off for this fight and deserved the win. I have one thing for fighters that you don't - respect.
I know that the trolls and haters won't like this but I would say Joshua is number one right now. There are good names on his record, albeit some that are past their best. He has demonstrated that he can turn things around after a bad defeat and these factors alone put him ahead of Wilder and Fury.
Nobody should or would forget that Joshua got splattered by Ruiz, however, he should get accolades/be highly regarded for recovering from a major loss, much like Leonard did against Duran.
