Reading different articles and forums for years and Hamzah was apparently never going to amount to anything and struggled with Skeete etc. It was obvious he would be a multi-weight world champion and one of the best to ever come out of the UK. On the youtube comments for years he was slated. So where are all the detractors now as there must be quite a lot on here considering there's hardly ever any threads about him. The man should be celebrated. Yes he goes on about religion too much and seems to love materialism despite his religious beliefs - was even kitted out in a full Gucci tracksuit the other night, a bit cringeworthy, but that's irrelevant really as he seems a nice bloke. Let's get behind this legend. He's going to conquer the world.

I think everyone Sheeraz included would or should acknowledge he lost to Skeete. Since then he has been pretty much punch perfect and clearly hits very very hard. I suppose we will only know when it happens but has the move up in weight taken away the slight frailties seen in the Skeete fight, has he learned the lessons from that fight or is it simply that nobody has had the ability yet to take him there again? Like everyone I have fighters I like/don't, I try not to hate on people it's a very very hard sport pysically and mentally both inside and outside of the ring. Sheeraz is doing very well and hopefully long may that continue

Sheeraz shows real promise and may very well end up with one or more belts, however your post is grossly premature on the back of beating Tyler Denny, Ammo Williams and the corpse of Liam Williams. It still remains to be seen how he will fare against the likes of Janibek and Adames, let alone at 168 where his massive size advantage will be less pronounced.

Progressing well after the Skeete schooling and looking forward to watching his progress to World Title Fights.

it’s called foresight, Peter. That’s what I think will happen and I’ll be proven right. Some people don’t know these things because they don’t know what they’re talking about and actually need to see a guy do x, y, and z. They’ve not got the knowledge to understand what’s in front of them. I’ve been saying since day dot he’ll be a champion and people like you told me the same stuff at every level, but here we are on the verge of a first world belt. The first of many.

Be nice to see him in with someone who doesn't look 2 divisions smaller by fight night, An opponent whose punches could take the skin off a rice pudding would be interesting too.

If Sheeraz becomes a two weight world champion then such plaudits would be justified, however we should wait to see if/when it happens first. Boxing is littered with the names of the "next big thing" who fell short at world level.

You wouldn’t be a very good talent scout, would you?

“We should wait to sign him because he’s not proven it yet at the top level”

    lol

All I'm saying he doesn't deserve the praise of a multi-weight world champion until he is a multi-weight world champion. Simple enough, no?

I have to admit that I was wrong about Hamzah Sheeraz. He has developed very positively since the Bradley Skeete fight. There are still questions but he is on the right track.

Im not sure about his chin but I still believe he will at least be a two-weight belt holder.

I'll be honest wasn't sure about him at first especially after the Skeete fight and I thought Williams would knock him out but he's impressed me more and more with each performance, has a great Jab and serious power. Would like to see the Bentley fight that would be a banger.
