Isn't Efrain Escuredo straight from Mexico This content is protected As you can see his tattoo on his left shoulder blade. He has the "Hecho En Mexico" logo
Im not really a MMA guy but totally respect it, but this was always a question I asked myself in the 90s about Muay Thai. The Mexicans with their come forward aggressive pressure fighting mentality in boxing is almost identical to the way Thai fighters fight in Muay Thai in Thailand and to some extent in Boxing to. I always though it was a perfect match for mexicans. I guess Muay Thai just wasn't big enough in the Americas at the time.
Very good point :good Oh... and welcome to ESB! I'm hoping with the lighter weight classes coming to UFC that we may see more latin and Thai fighters with this style. Hopfully with the flyweight division (-125lbs) we will see a whole host of fast aggressive Thai and latin fighters! Lynchburg
If you love Mexico so much maybe you should stay in Mexico and find out. I could careless where anyone is from. It always boggled my mind how everyone from Mexico talks about their love for their country but they all want out of it. Whats the deal with that?
Franjk Shamrock was born Frank Alisio Juarez III; Ken Shamrock on the other hand was born Kenneth Wayne Kilpatrick, so he probably does have some Irish in him.
Wrong, Wrestling AKA Lucha Libre is HUGE IN MEXICO, I would say even more popular than Boxing, but that's Lucha Libre, not the Lucha Greco-Tomana. El Santo(the wrestler) is bigger in Mexico than Julio Cesar Chavez, not even close. This content is protected
