Where are those who claimed Chavez Jr was Iron Chinned

Well, Fonfara is a pretty good puncher and he apparently took some hefty shots plus he was coming up in weight.

 

Yea guess he was really beating up on smaller guys. If he stuck his face out against Froch.

 

If that's true then it's a complete coincidence. It's like saying the biggest punchers come from a certain country, it's nonsense.

 

His 1st fight at this weight against a good punCher wirh great stamina. I'd say his chin is pretty good but his heart...

 

Very true.

I would add, however, that the culture of Mexican fighters keeps them from going down when other fighters would. And the come-forward, expect-to-be-hit style also helps. You can take a lot more punches when you fully expect to get hit. It's the surprise shots that drop guys.

 

Fonfera is not a Savage puncher he is average at best

 

yeah in the past his big ass usually comes in heavy and outweigh his opponents. however fonfara is a legit lhw.

 

Chavez Jr. does have an Iron chin, in the same way his pops did, in the same way Froch does, in the same way JMM does. These dudes get knocked down too. What lost Chavez the fight was his heart, not his chin, dude took a beating and should have been KD way before he was. Chavez's chin is indisputably iron.

 

The Fonfara shot that brought chavez down in a heap could easily have crumpled Froch too

Froch is however smart enough not to fight a LHW. Because he knows he will get massacred. :yep

 

I thought Chavez JR chin was very good, but he just got out fought. He was never going to be the best of his era, but the guy has the ***** to get into the ring, which shows courage in itself.

the atg chin is a proven myth now too. he was just a bully, veating up on smaller guys. now we see why golovkin, ward, froch, and others were dying to get a hold of him.
