I didn't know fights were only 3 rounds cause most of that fight was all Oscar. His gloves bouncing off Tito's face.:huh

Both are in my Top 20.

Edit: So is Donald Curry (he actually slots in around #15)

Head to head is all that matters and haters aside,Oscar outclassed Tito in every way except for about three rounds. Enough said on that.

Longest welterweight reign ever, and call it how you see it, Oscar lost to Pernell too so they are even on the bad calls. Also Oscar clearly won4-5 rds against tito...and tito clearly won the last 4...the rest is a toss up...i don't know how everyone sees this as the greatest robbery ever when DLH has had several gifts in his career....the judges gave it to tito cause no champion deserves to be champion when you are in a 40 yard dash against your opponent. In my opinion, if that fight was a 15 rounder DLH woulda got his ass knocked out. Tito ahead of Oscar

Both in top 20. Some of the old timers will argue. Too bad their fight didn't define them and their era the way it should have.

Funny how history has tied these two together. That is why fight was so dissapointing. The two bad asses of the nineties and Oscar couldn't finish the job and Tito couldn't find Oscar. Still, separatly, they were great for the division.

    Really?

    Late 70s/early 80s

    Ray Leonard
    Thomas Hearns
    Roberto Duran
    Carlos Palomino
    Pipino Cuevas
    Wilfred Benitez
    Pete Ranzany
    Clyde Gray

    Mid to late 90s/early 00s

    Oscar De La Hoya
    Felix Trinidad
    Pernell Whitaker
    Ike Quartey
    Shane Mosley
    Jose Luis Lopez
    Vernon Forrest
    Oba Carr

They're both excellent eras, but I'd lean towards the former.

Absolutely, and Tito's and Holyfield are my favorites of the past 20 years.

Of course not. Did you see their fight? Oscar boxed rings around him. Trinidad was exposed by him, by Hopkins, and by Winky Wright as a guy who relied far too much on his awesome punching power, his skills were severely lacking as those guys proved. When Tito ran into someone with polished skills like DLH or Winky, or someone who was strong enough to repel his attacks, like Hopkins, he had no plan B.

However, I'd still have Tito top 15 of all-time at welter, he was beast at 147 despite his deficiencies. I'd have both of them around 8-12, with DLH above Tito.

what about head to head when Oscar ran for his life like the *****/drag queen that he is for 4 rounds of the Biggest Fight of his career. 6-5-1, 115-114, Trinidad W12 DLH. Oscar wins 5 rounds, and you Oscarsexual ***gots start celabrating like it's Gay Pride Day in San Francisco.

Wrong again. You Oscarsexual ***s cannot get it through your thick skulls 9 ****ing years later that OScar lost the fight. It is a boxing match based on a 10 point system. Oscar lost 6 rounds to 5, with one being even. Trinidad outboxed de la Hoya. It's in the record books bitches. And if you want to speak of a fighter getting exposed, watch Oscar's fights against Sugar, or Bernard or especially Floyd Jr. Tito top 10 of all time at welter. and way above the overrated DLH. What was DLH's plan B against Hopkins by the way?:deal

Watch the DHL-Tito fight without your blinkers on and score it yourself. It was one of the worst decisions in history, anyone could see that. It doesn't matter if DLH tap-danced the last 3 rounds, he had already won.

I agree, Tito was a great welter, but IMO DLH won their fight, so should be ranked higher. DLH done better v Hopkins for 9 rounds than Tito did in 12. Watch those fights too and make your own judgement.

Trinidad lost far more widely v Wright and Jones than DLH did v Mosley and Mayweather. Fact.

I've probably watched that fight more times than I've seen the movie "Jaws"..115-114, 6-5-1 Trinidad W12 DLH..You want to talk about one of the worst decisions in history? Watch Whitaker-DLH, AKA "The Great Train Robbery"

DLH got ko'd against Hopkins 3 rounds earlier, and couldnt make it to his feet until the soft warm feces curled out from between his buttocks, involuntarily.
