The guy who was embrassed by Floyd Jr in an one-sided beatdown that I don't even think he landed a shot on or a Gatti with a pretty good resume/accomplishments blood and guts warrior? It seem to me that he was getting a lot of priase for transforming himself to a brawler to a boxer puncher to someone who got beat by floyd, then baldomir, then gomez.....
He's made the best out of what he is.. he's an average boxer at best. He'll go down in history for his ward trilogy. He's fun to watch but not close to HOF material, although may get in on popularity alone !
Well it's not fair to judge a fighter in the twilight of his career. Basically history will be good to him because fans appreciated a warrior. Win or loose he always came to fight and that's what he'll be remembered for. The Ward-Gatti wars will be legendary as time goes on.
All the fights you mentioned were at the end of his career. Perhaps you should have put some thought into this thread before starting it.
