I have them both as top 25, Wladimir in the teens. I don't care what anybody says, they're great fighters. It is their opposition that holds them back. I don't think it's been bad, just not particularly good is all. I have no idea how anybody would be ranking them past Ali, Holmes, Louis, Frazier, Lewis, etc. There isn't even anyone out there they can beat who can allow them to surpass these fighters. Barring that, there's always long reigns but these big guys have been at it for a very long time. They fought hundreds of amateur matches and on a world class level a large portion of that time. Human bodies break down. Wladimir already had how many fights before getting a title and I think he may start to slide soon if recent injury-induced layoff is an indication. Vitali was forced out due to injuries years ago. They aren't making any Holmes/Louis type of reigns no matter who they're fighting. Bodies break down. They will stay outside the top ten HWs, I assume for the majority. I would understand perfectly if they were both outside the top fifteen or just outside the top twenty even. That's not even crazy.

    Why?

Has either Klit ever been undisputed or linear champion?

Does either have a win even remotely close to a prime Evander Holyfield? Cause Bowe has 2.

You could argue longevity for the Wlad, but I dont realistically see how you could rate Vitali above Bowe - his resume is very poor. And Vitali's 'H2H' nightmare against anyone is a ****ing myth. A very big awkward fighter with a lean back style and a good chin. On the flipside, very basic skills, slow, robotic....the guy is nothing like as hard to beat as some make out.

Realistically they are inside the top 20, but not by much. Close to Bowe really.

Losses, relatively poor resumes and the fact neither has even fought - let alone beat a prime elite fighter counts againt them. However, you cant argue with their recent title runs and comeback. If one of them become undisputed, which could realistically happen, then they move up to about 16-17. (Given the very poor era in which they are unifying the belts)

When ranking are most of you going by resume, or who you think would win head to head?

The only way either brother would touch my top 10 is if they fought eachother.

Both somewhere between 15-20, but lets let them finish their careers.

Vitali needs to get Haye in the ring. Wlad has a few years left to take his time and build the resume.

For the good of your mental health, find a new sport to watch, please.

Joe Louis is above Lennox Lewis on EVERYONE's ATG heavy list, Lennox beat the better brother when he was shot. Close the argument right now.
