I'm not saying he'd utterly dominate Edgar or Maynard, but he's not getting dominated either. Put it this way - if Gilbert got Edgar in the same trouble Gray had him in the first round of their rematch, there's no way Frankie survives the round.

Personally i think his win over BJ overrates him immensely. I don't see anything in his game that is going to stop Melendez from completely tooling him.

I have him at #2 but if it wasn't for the fact that Edgar was the guy who knocked off the former #1 I'd have Melendez there because I think he's better.

Get Aoki's teeny jappo **** out of your mouth and wake the **** up. He's had his Glass Jaw shattered several times already and Melendez ****ed him up. How in the hell do you rank a guy above the guy that kicked his ass, dummy?

Aoki has improved his apptitude at fighting in the cage since his cage debut. He also beat Kawajiri more soundly that Melendez did.

And **** off with your glass jaw BS, Aoki has taken plenty of hard shots on his jaw over the years and still pull of subs.

First of all, both performances over Kawajiri were thoroughly dominant so to compare those is fruitless but we can watch Melendez beat the **** out of Aoki and realize that Aoki has done nothing to improve his takedown ability or hands which is what cost him against Melendez. Nothing to do with the cage.

And there's no bull**** about it, Aoki has a glass jaw. Mach nailed him once and he was convulsing like an epileptic patient and Hansen starched him in their first match. That glass has been shattered violently and if the ref wouldn't have continuously pulled Melendez off for diving in with GnP while Aoki was scooting like a *****, something well within the rules mind you, he would have put Aoki in dreamland, as well. Face it, your mancrush has a Fragile Mandible and if he continues to fight in the US you'll continue to see it exposed!:deal:lol::rofl:hi:

They fought three times so if I mix them up I could give a rat's ass less, the point remains, Aoki's China Chin has been brutally shattered on multiple occasions proving that he does in fact have poor punch resistance.

    1) TD's are very dependant on environment, Aoki's judo is was much less accustomed to the ring at the time, this is very dependent on the properties of the wall, the more giving ropes are more accommodating to throws

    2) Watch the fights, the WW Sakurai landed a barrage of clean punches before Aoki was out, both fights

    3) That just makes me think you don't watch MMA, most of the times Gil was on top of him, Aoki was working for better position and trying to isolate limbs, the standing up was only advantageous to Melendez.

Exactly, facts and you don't go together so well

    1. Aoki has never shown an ability to throw a wrestler of Melendez's caliber and most often resorts to guard pulling against a competent wrestler. He tried and failed with Melendez.

    2. Aoki was sparked by the first one and the rest were academic in the rematch. His mandible is garbage.

    3. You must have had Aoki nuts in your eyes when Melendez dove in with bombs in every round and was separated as soon as the blows landed. Aoki was butt-scooting like a ***** and as soon as Melendez would dive and hit him the ref would jump in as if a foul had been committed.

Really, you're pathetic as **** to idolize a fighter so much that you would see him get his ass handed to him by a guy and THEN claim that he should be ranked above him and that he's really better. You know, it wasn't that he was handled like the JMMA China Chinned Hype Job he is, oh no, it's that uh, the cage was new to him, American MMA isn't fair, the crowd noise bothered him, blah blah blah ****ing blah. He got clowned and no amount of time fighting in the States is going to change that result ANY time he comes up against a guy that can wrestle and crack.:deal

Now don't you have some Hello Kitty coloring books or some Japanime porn to **** off back to?:rofl:hi:
