Where do you have Terence Crawford in ATG ranking?

Undisputed on paper. Resume is dog****.

 

Top 20 all time.

 

Fought a lot of damaged goods .. i think hes overrated. Weight grifter too.. never really been put at a distinct size disadvantage.

 

Top 40 or so off the top of my head. Resume lacks depth but his best wins and accomplishments were great. For reference, I'd have him and Tommy Hearns ranked similarly.

 

I think it's impossible to rank him about Usyk despite the incredible achievements. As others have said his resume isn't great. I think he's solidly 2nd of this era since Inoue's resume isn't that great itself although he could change that next year with Nakatani.

Top 50 for sure possibly 40. Top 20? No chance. I mean Floyd and Manny might struggle to find their way into top 20 Bud surely has no case.

 

Hearns knocked out Duran & Cuevas in 2 rounds LOL.. what HOFers has Crawford decimated like that? Shot Khan & Brook LOL.. They aren't remotely comparable. Hearns won the LHW title off 30-0 Hill, despite him recently parting ways with his mentor Manny Steward.. Crawford barely beat Canelo who was a juiced up faded MW reigning over a wasteland of a division.

 

Duran was a faded inconsistent LIGHTWEIGHT lmao. Crawford fought undisputed Canelo at one division higher than his natural weight class, while Crawford himself was a guy who started at 135 and was at his best at 140-147.
Hearns fought Duran 3 divisions north of his best weight class and coming off of a loss to Hagler at middleweight.

Hearns certainly has more depth to his resume for sure, but historically none of his wins are quite as significant as Crawford beating Canelo. They're both 5 weight champs but Crawford was undisputed in 3 weights while Tommy never managed to be undisputed even in an era with less belts.
Crawford's also undefeated and assuming he stays retired, retired on top as the widely regarded P4P number 1.

Not even saying Crawford is above him, but I consider them close to eachother all time.

 

Not really that high, I wouldn't have him in the top 50. I'd have him between top 10 and 15 at 147, so branching that out across all divisions, he doesn't have the resume depth to be considered a true ATG. Even the greats of the last era, Manny and Floyd, are ahead of him, and I would pick both of them to beat him pretty easily H2H. I also think his resume won't age too well.

Like Golovkin, he was avoided at his peak, which blurs the lines and makes it easy for people to call him overrated, but on his day, he was magnificent. His performance against Spence was one of the great 147 performances; he doesn't have the name recognition or depth of resume to be in the conversation with Napoles, Robinson, Armstrong, or Leonard. He was one of the few Americans who went overseas in the last couple of decades to win a world title, and he is an excellent ambassador for the sport. An outstanding HOF career and one of the best of his era.

 

Lower tier ATG

He can’t be denied completely, because he was undisputed and lineal in so many divisions, but his resume is extremely poor for an ATG, he fought just once a year for the last decade or so, and his final fight was the only time he took anything resembling a risk.

Shot Canelo, car crash Spence, Porter on the verge of retirement, Postol and Ricky Burns as your signature wins is weak.

 

Best of his generation/era (2015-2025). His resume could do with a bit more but can't entirely blame him for the state of 140lbs when he was there or being sidelined for years at 147lbs. Importantly, when he faced supposedly weak fighters he didn't leave any doubt that he was orders of magnitude ahead of them. To go 42-0 without a single close/contentious fight is really impressive however you slice it. There's no Floyd vs Maidana moment, no Ali vs Leon Spinks nights. Always came in prepared and always made the necessary adjustments in fights. One of the best ever if not necessarily one of the greatest.

 

Number 1 best of all time

 

Bud is a dud. He didn't beat the fight out of the champ. His best punch that he landed on Canelo was a shot that Canelo rolled with the punch. He simply outboxed him in a close fight. He didn't dominate like an atg would while facing another atg. Matter of fact where do y'all rate Canelo? I think hypocrisy is rampant with many hating on Saul or thst Alvarez sucks. I personally love el Canelo. He was very exciting to watch not like wet paint drying as in Terrence Crawford highlights reel vs Canelo s highlight reel was really exciting, filled with dominance, class, respect for the

i think his resume lacks proven elites to place him too high on the list. hes had some big moments, and achieved some historic things, but not many fast lane dogs on his record. dogs that got it all. usyk suffers the same problem.
