Where do you have Terence Crawford in ATG ranking?

The Canelo win was impressive but let’s face it his legs have gone, and many are putting Crawford over Mayweather who beat Canelo easily? Is it really that impressive ?

Give Crawford Hattons career and his record will be the same…

It might be partly recency bias but Crawford probably has the weakest of the notable undefeated resumes yet he’s getting elevated way too high here

 

not very high...he did not fight enough. full stop. barrera is much greater with his 75 fights. yeah. 75. the new kids ain't ****.

 

Top 70-100 seems fair enough.

 

Clearly below Floyd, Manny, and Duran, although in a pfp sense he operated at a level that Manny never quite reached.

Clearly above Whitaker and Benitez, who had too many close fights or Ls and lacked the discipline to match Crawford's longevity (may have been inevitable that Benitez fell off).

He's above everyone who recently retired or is fading out like Lomachenko, Roman Gonzalez, Estrada, and Donaire. Manny is the obviously exception.

I think a fair spot for him is just below Leonard and just above Roy: Crawford basically fulfilled what Roy couldn't in staying untouchable while lacking slightly in ATG and hof dance partners.

I'm glad to have attended the Mean Machine and Madrimov fights.

I'm not sure because I stopped caring about where a fighter ranks all time years ago. There are too many differences in eras to fairly compare. I definitely think Crawford's resume is thin but he wasn't in an era where there were a lot of great fighters around his weight classes and that's unfortunate. He passes the eye test with flying colors though. Crawford had to go the accolades route (winning titles) to put himself as an all time great. It's hard to say a fighter who was 3x undisputed isn't an all time great. But with the thin resume, he can only rank so high. I just look at Crawford as the best of his era (at least right now) and an all time great. That's really all a fighter can do.

 

Im not a list guy but I find it tough to rank modern guys in the top 25. I feel like those rankings are solidified. Terrence was a phenomenal fighter and the Canelo win was a statement but I dont think he has enough top shelf wins. Ability-wise he is outstanding
