Where do you place Ruiz, now? How good is he?

Personally I place Ruiz second, only behind Fury.

As far as how good/effective he is, I think he is MUCH better than most of us gave him credit for. I was unfamiliar with this fights so I was totally unaware of what he had

he has a very high pressure, Bore his way inside a taller fighters reach, and unload with short, powerful hook combos.

Tyson-esque style IMO. He is clearly no Tyson, but the style reminds me of Tyson’s crisp, short, inside brutality combos.

Ruiz obviously needs to lose that excess body fat, but it’s hard to discredit his results against an Adonis-physique undefeated champion

He beat the number 1 HW with the best resume so he has to be number 1.

Do i think he can be beaten? Sure. Styles make fights. I wouldn't rule out AJ winning the rematch if he fought in the manor that did of Parker, on the back foot not engaging and just working the jab K brother style. I would also back style wise Usyk, Hrgovic and Hunter against Ruiz.

Its Its because a few weeks ago I never saw him mentioned in any top 10 lists on here.

Now people have him top 3.

    I think he's top 10.

I think it's hard to to place the top 10 in any order because there's so my different styles, strengths and weakness that a lot of them could beat each other.

I had Ruiz at no.8 on my last casual list before he beat Joshua. He deserves to be rated one of the top handful now.

Hard to know for sure. He deserves his success for stepping in to take Miller's place and doing a comprehensive job on AJ.

Will he keep the titles long? Dunno, but upset victories and new names winning are good for the sport every so often.

AJ might beat him in a rematch or Andy might be just too tough for AJ again. Will be interesting to find out.

I was not impressed by him previously, but credit where it's due. He's a disgusting fat pig but a worthy champion and I'm happy for him.

    I think it goes

    Wilder
    Fury
    Ruiz
    Joshua

    But it's extremely debatable.

    That’s my ranking system, **** top 10s.

    Tier 1

    Wilder, Fury, Usyk

    Tier 2

    Ortiz, Joshua, Ruiz jr.

    Tier 3

    Povetkin, Parker, Whyte, Miller

Of course it can change and Joshua could very well be in Tier 1 again if he beats Ruiz convincingly in the rematch.

A few notches up ,no one can put him AT number one unless they have really low expectations ..ONE fight doesn't really tell us hes the guy to beat and AJ is overatted that's stupid. unless you think he'll win a rematch and have him over Fury and wilder ? lol

Ruiz is closer to Kownacki level then AJ thats a fact and had a great fight, i wouldn't put him over guys like Povetkin ( he lost to AJ) or Whyte ( also LOST to AJ ) ,Ortiz is a 50/50 .

So that leaves him about about 6 / 7 . Deserves NOW to over guys like Pulev/ Breazeale / Miller./ Parker .

when he loses to AJ how many will take him off the top 10 all of a sudden ? lol

The win got him a good main stay for me until the Gormans, DDD's , Sirenkos, Ajagbas ,Hrgovics, Usyk and joyces hit the scene and all will defeat him as well when they hit top 10.

He's the champ, baby. Shannon Briggs should now focus on making videos calling him out.

Only time will tell...from what little ive seen of him he's a pretty damned good fighter

Still cant picture in my head him beating Wilder though...if Wilder puts him down, Wilder comes in and finishes the job

I would rank him about ortiz level 5-6, he has physical disadvantages tough AJ could not make use of them. It doesn't mean someone else can't make.

I would love to see him fight Ortiz. I don't think Fury would be a fan-friendly fight at all, and my guess is Wilder would get him out of there pretty quickly. Dangerous bout for him too, tho.
