wow a logical post on here...that's rare. lol

The topic really shows how dumb fans are of boxing ...one night equates to being number one or a top 3 guy now when Ruiz was barely scratching at 10 ranked guy and wasn't even in most top 10....?

If they only knew boxing history of rematches with dominant era champions. SMH

    He's very good. Very good.

Time will tell as to whether he has longevity - he's anywhere between 3-6 in the top ten, something like that depending on just how hard you wish to argue the point.

I doubt he’d have gone through Joshua’s resume undefeated, I think he’d have taken a couple losses. I have no issue with people wanting to rank him in the top 3 and above Joshua however. It’s all up in the air.

Prime Briggs vs Ruiz would be a very entertaining fight tbh

I'd heavily favor both Wilder and Fury to beat him. Him in a rematch with Joshua, Parker, vs Whyte, Povetkin, Ortiz would be competitive. I favor him against the rest of the division. Ruiz has proved to be a real good fighter, I remember seeing an interview with Holyfield years back where he talked about Ruiz and his hand speed and how he was very impressed. Too me heavyweight is the most exciting division in boxing again.

How many of these silly threads do we need? First off Tyson Fury is a bum. Again his best two fights were against old Wlad and unskilled Deontay Wilder. He ran like a woman an landed less than 90 punches in both fights.

Andy Ruiz isn't anything special. Anthony Joshua is just that bad.

I think anywhere from second to third is a good rating.

Its hard for me to rank him over Fury though.

Maybe not going to happen but if IBF forces the issue Ruiz/Pulev would be a good indication of where Ruiz is at.

Pulev with his jab might be problematic for Ruiz.

I really don't know. We have to see more of him with his titles. I put him 3rd now. No way he is at the level of Fury and Wilder.

    #1

But its a close #1 because I would favor Fury over him, and Wilder would probably also be a slight favorite. Nevertheless he is the most proven and has the most accolades at HW so he is #1

Fast hands on a HW who can fight and take it is a dangerous combo. Ruiz is a tough out for anyone.

He kinda pissed away a few years there but if he maintains a serious attitude he will stay near the top.

I also have him at 3. But 1 Wilder and 2 Fury. Ruiz could take 1 if he wins the rematch or defeats either 1, 2, Whyte, Parker II, Ortiz or Usyk.

I'm still stunned by the upset. What a great sporting moment!

I respected a quote AJ used in a post fight interview. "Don't let your successes get to your head or your failures to your heart".

    Looking forward to the rematch!

If Andy Ruiz was as easy people make him seem to be, everybody would have been calling him out...It would have been anarchy with Charr and Oquendo Quasi Champions using their WBA to usurp Andy Ruiz of his other belts...

It would have been as attractive as taking a belt from hopeless Charles Martin

Nothing great is an accident, it was meticulous strategic planning

Andy Ruiz planned all of this alone in MCD for over a decade with support of the greatest minds in the deep-state organization, he was so deep into the ploy that it made Arum & his TR side-piece lose interest in him & simply drop him as an unwanted asset.... by this he got rid of Arum without the need of a conflict, possibly learning from the mistakes of the hot-headed Garcia clan. Andy Ruiz used his vulnerable position to lure in the overconfident Brits looking for easy prey....instead they ended up marching into the heart of his Golden Arched Citadel network complex...With Joshua stash of Meds replaced with neutral Placebo, he was extremely confused, resupply was impossible because Andy Ruiz dragged them so far away from their closest MI-6 resupply point in Nova Scotia, Team Joshua were awkwardly assured that they are given maximum security, mainly to discourage any alternative plans to smuggle any juice and masking agents for the cornered British subject...
