Very close fight between the two. I doubt one is much higher than the other. Neither are probably in top 5, but surely both could be top ten.... or maybe not. thoughts? :think
1. Margo 2. Cotto 3. Mosley 4. Clottey 5. Pacquiao 6. Quintana 7. Berto 8. Judah 9. Collazo 10. Cintron
I see it as exactly the opposite. Collazo was outside the top ten in just about every list. I think its VERY hard to do that anymore...as he fought with someone who I feel is top 5 to the very edge. The top 5 guy wins a razor thin one and therefore stays put, the other shows he belongs among the elite class. As I told you before the fight, Im a Luis Collazo fan...after tonight, I am a much, MUCH bigger fan.
There are alot of people who expected to see a Mayweather clone blast Collazo out tonight. That's what that 5-1 business was about. These people are shocked and disgusted at what Berto gave them. Collazo... Collazo gave 'subpar' a whole new meaning. He was rancid. Tons of heart, but rancid. It was a good crude result - don't get me wrong. It worked. But the artistry was absent. Big time.
I'm still a bit shocked to be honest. Bizarre, definately. Collazo must have had a lobotomy recently.
Give Collazo the $$ that Berto has , so that he doesn't have to work a day-job, and so that he can properly condition himself, and then you'll have a real measure of how good a fighter he is. Collazo lost tonight because he ran out of gas. Not because Berto beat him.
Love Pac but real hard to give him that spot off of Oscorpse Dela Hoya. Quintana is lower. Judah is lower. Cintron is a non-entity. Top 15 maybe. No PW? [154 or + from now on huh? - I also think his '47 days are over]
I rate Collazo above Berto, he won tonight, criminal judges should be ignored and the one who had the fight 116-111 should be banned from boxing. Berto's father yelled that his son needed a knockout to win the fight, I think he was correct. Ledermann's card was correct also.
