In my opinion, he's underrated. Not only has he beaten some good fighters, but he's done so impressively, usually stopping them.

    He stopped

in one round, it took Canelo 3.

was 26-0 before losing to Smith. He dominated

more completely than anyone ever has. He impressively knocked out

who was still just age 30 at the time.

Where do you rank him p4p?

I think he needs more elite tests, he hasn't really had higher tier opposition other than George Groves who was injured before the fight, I believe he is good but he really needs a big test

He's definitely class, but he needs to face some really big names, at 168 or 175, before we can say just how good he is.

I think he’s going to move up to 175 soon. He might end up having the best chance of anyone at light heavyweight against Beterbiev. I’d like to see him test the waters at 175 against Zurdo first.

He needs to move up in weight for sure. Beating a wasted Groves won't make him a great. He's always been big at the weight and has looked great at times, terrible at others such as the ud against the Dutch kickboxer. Defining year or two for Callum where we'll see what he's made of

    Top 20.

He’s been ignored by Hearn and I hope he doesn’t turn into a scouse Brook.

Yeah, top fifteen/twenty at the moment seems fair.

Side note, but does he remind anyone else of Harry Kane?

    Between 20-30.

His resume is thin. Really thin.

    Past prime Ndam, Groves.

Fielding is European level at best.

Skoglund is overrated. His Top 3 wins are Edwards, Liebenberg and Mock. Come on....

Do not forget Smith looked pretty average vs Nicky Holzken and even lost a couple of rounds there...

He has big potential. But it's unlikely he'll unleash it at 168. He has to move up. He's a walking corpse at 168 and the weight cut is too hard.

He should move up and fight the elite guys at 175.

As time goes on and comments emerge from Shane and Groves here and there, it becomes clearer that Groves was not physically prepared for that fight due to the quick turn around from the shoulder injury. Smith did not beat the resurgent Groves on a streak, he beat a damaged fighter. Without that win, what do you really have if you're talking about being elite?
Ryder would be a good win, but he'd probably need a Canelo, GGG, BJS, maybe Bivol to really prove what he can do.
BJS seems confident about this fight which tells me he might have a good chance of winning it. He's a tricky ******* even against big opponents, as the Lee fight showed.

Smith IS the WBA super middleweight champion NOT Canelo, Fielding held nothing
