the thing is- Floyd might be one of the best fighters ever- but he hasnt got the resume to back it up . what people are saying is true. I mean most experts have him beating shane and pac- but those guys are ranked ahead because theyve accomplished more- despite the losses.

His record is **** even next to his contemporaries. Being undefeated is no big thing, Oscar by the same age- 32- had only 2 disputed losses to Shane Mosley- and a very controversial loss to Felix- and was about to challenge Hopkins for the middleweight championship. So you could argue- that at age 32 - that Oscar had already accomplished much more than Floyd- yet few would put him in the top 40. If he beats shane- so what- its been done- and shane is old. hes gotta win a few against the odds to be considered great- even if he loses. if that means going up - then so be it.

he s good- maybe too good for his competition? he has no competition- therefore why hold it against him? Boxing aint the nba- it dosent look at your wins and losses, your punches and missed punches all time. stats dont mean ****. its about who you fought- who you were willing to fight- and how you did against them. Boxing isnt about being too good- its about keeping on going until you find your match- whether its up or down. Floyd hasnt kept looking- and there are plenty who fit the bill.

So to people who think floyd is top 25- in talent- sure. but in resume- no way. again, compare his resume to Oscars , Bernards and Roys at the same age- and his is pale in comparison.

William H Macy may be the best actor in the world- but if he dosent do the roles, and the movies- then it means **** all. you gotta give the performances. its not about numbers- its not about the talent.... its about performances.

    Prove me wrong where?
A dude failed a random urine test.
    WOW.

James toney has failed a urine test too.

Olympic style drug tests are only a result of mayweather whining.
It's never come up as a general issue in boxing until now.

Which is exactly what I said.

Then you bring up future bouts requiring it like that means jack ****.
Mosley and mayweather are doing it now.

    Hence, my "until now"

    ****ing clown.

If there is no doubt and noone asks for it there is no need.

I have not been asked to take a G-force test because I do not want to be an astronaut or fighter pilot - so noone has asked me for it. Of course.

Pac's 'cleanliness HAS been doubted - and given his jumps from division it is fair enough that people doubt whether HE is on something. Ben Johnson was tested thoroughly because he was better than the rest - and they found the reason for that. Pac has been impressive, and of course he will meet more rigorous demands to prove there is no other reason for this than other fighters. That is obvious and reasonable.

31-40 / inside 15-20. really depends on how you look at it, if you choose to look at his skill-set he's definitely up there at the top. but his resume pulls it a little lower in my book.

Who are the 14 people who voted him in the top 10? Seriously. It was the same on another thread the other day for Pacquiao, a good number of people voting him as top 10 ATG.
I don't have any modern great in the top 10...yet!

    LEMME HELP U OUT..

LETS LOOK AT 4 FIGHTS WITH MANNY PAC INCLUDING HIS LAST 3(PLUS ILL THROW IN JMM AS A COMMON OPPONENT-EITHER WAY PAC'S NUMBERS DONT LOOK VERY GOOD IN COMPARISON

THAN LETS LOOK AT FLOYDS LAST 3 FIGHTS

    LETS SEE WHO DOES BETTER

IN 4 FIGHTS MANNY HAS DONE

    DE LA HOYA 1.2 MILLION
    HATTON 850,000
    COTTO 1.2 MILLION
    JMM 420,000 (PRE OSCAR)

IN 3 FIGHTS FLOYD HAS DONE

    DE LA HOYA 2.4 MILLION
    HATTON 920,000
    JMM 1.05 MILLION

MANNY DID 3,670,000 BUYS WITH 3 FIGHTS FROM OSCAR TO COTTO AND JMM AS THE COMMON OPPONENT

    FLOYD DID 4,325,000...

SO WHO IS THE BIGGER DRAW AGAIN BASED ON THE PPV BUYS??:huh

THATS INCLUDING 4 FIGHTS FOR MANNY AND 3 FOR FLOYD...HMMMMMMMMMM:think

Either 51-75 or 76-100. I voted for 51-75 as that's where I think he'd be, but I don't have a list so I can't be certain. My impression is that he is in the 51-75 bracket. In a historical sense, his resume sucks anus. It could've been so much better. However, there is certainly still time for him to climb that ladder with his next couple of fights.

No man, i don't understand why you're not reading. Sylvester lost an opponent already, IN THE PAST, because said opponent failed an Olympic-style drug test. I'm writing the same thing every time and you're choosing not to read it.

Urine is included in Olympic-style drug testing by the way. So is blood. Is that where the issue is? You think I was talking about urine and you don't think Olympic drug tests include urine?

This guy failed an olympic-style drug test in the past.

Months ago, he failed an olympic-style drug test.

In times gone by, an olympic-style drug test was demanded of Navascues and he failed it.

I don't know how else to say it. Instead of spitting some insult at me and yelling about your terrible, terrible reading comprehension, can you just say what part of the above isn't clear to you? I'd be happy to clarify it. The point was to share information that seemed to have flown below the radar, not to get into some internet fight because I opted to bring information to the table that didn't fit into your agenda.

Who the hell are you talking about?

You told me some guy failed a random drug test, I researched and it was a random urine test. Then you brought up future bouts requiring it, which obviously doesn't mean **** since shane and floyd are doing it now.
And arthur abraham has it contracted too.

    Stop being an idiot.

If he beats mosley and then pac he is definately in the top 10, no question. That wud be 8 world titles and 16 world champs on his resume and he wud have beaten the top 2 fighters in the world other than himself.

I don't understand? Floyd was going to take the test also. What's the problem with that?
