Where do you rank Holyfield in your Top 10 HW ranking ?

You have Charles as a top 2 heavyweight? Very hard to justify.

I have Holyfield at the bottom half of the top 10 between 7-10. Hell of a fighter but he took a lot of losses. Then there's the question of steroids which he almost certainly was on. I can see the case for him just missing the top ten.

 

I have him at 8#.
But it's not like there is a "legacy tarnishing" thing in his CV that brings his rating down.
He did have a great career as a heavyweight but i just think the 7 fighters i rank above him had a better resume.
I admire Ezzard Charles and i have him at 1# pound for pound, (and a top 3 light heavyweight) but still, i think putting him at #2 as a heavyweight is completely off.

 

Why do you have him above Lewis? And why is Ezzard Charled 2nd?

It is biased ITSELF to ask where Holyfield is in the top 10.
How is that rational or a fair accounting?
He may well belong there, but you are not getting a full range of responses when you ask a question that is more likely to get a response from those who agree with you.

You mean even weighing these factors itself is biased, however you consider them?!

Notice I did not even weigh in yet. But the question itself betrays deep bias.
For me the PED isage helped his success significantly at HW, so I cannot have him in the top 10.

Ezzar Charles #2 as a historical rating at HW, not pound for pound, or head to head...Is something nobody here is likely to find defensible.
Maybe nobody else on the whole website.

I think that 3 is a little to high,somewhere between 9 and 12 is where I would place him..

 

While I don't think of Holyfield as a great heavyweight he was a very good heavyweight for a very long time. His resume earns him a #8 to #12 spot for me.

 

I do not mean to be contrarian, but how do you separate him from PED use? It matters to some of us.

I will not render by opinion as you don't want to hear it, but I think it is fair to ask as much.

Anyway, props on rating Charles so high. Love the guy.
