I don't see why his light-heavyweight fights have to deal with his standing at middleweight.

It's like holding Roberto Duran's inconsistency in the 1980s against his ranking at 135 lbs in the 1970s, or detracting from Michael Spinks's light-heavyweight ranking because Mike Tyson destroyed him or Larry Holmes really winning the rematch.

It's a totally different division, and should have no bearing IMO on his middleweight ranking.

See I always have felt Greb was a clear cut #1 at middle. He has wins over Flowers and Walker there which are huge, plus a ton of very good wins. I don't even see how I can place Monzon above Greb. At 3 you have to have Hagler. Close but clear over Hopkins. I don't see how anyone cannot have Hopkins at 4. Robinson makes a slight case there but was too inconsistent.

    1. Greb
    2. Monzon
    3. Hagler
    4. Hopkins
    5. Robinson

He is from 5 to 10.

No way he ranks higher than Hagler. His biggest win at 160 is against Tito.

I think becoming an ATG is an amazing achievement in itself. Where he lies on that scale matters not. To even be mentioned amongst these legends is an honor.

(I have Hopkins higher than Hagler in my all-time pound-for-pound rankings, but at middleweight I think Hagler's resume gives him a slight edge)

No. I don't count what someone does over the weight in question toward their ranking AT that weight. Those add to his overall legacy.

No. That makes it sound like he's being done a favour to rank him on the list. Hopkins has earned a solid place in the top five.

Not neccessarily, not for his body of work in the MW division.
