Top 10. He's a definitive Top 10 fighter. Funnily though, his achievements aren't much different to fighters of the modern era, with the exception he fought a lot more.
Top 10. Most of the ATG's were done with they were in their mid 30's. Hopkins at 46 did something unbelievable.
31-40. He's up there with the top middleweights of all time. His longevity is paralleled by few and he's in the record books for several things (defenses, age of title win and is gunning for age of title defense). His best wins are over WWs and good but not great LHWs.
So most people think he belongs in the top 20. That's pretty surprising. Does he REALLY belong that high? I think 21-30 is a lot safer.
I'm not good with these top ATGs lists, as I find it too hard to determine a fighter's greatness if he's in an era I never watched him in. But I'd roughly say top 30
In or near the top 25. Had a nice run at 160 including his win over Trinidad when he was knocking everyone out. He has some very good wins over Tarvar, Pavlik and Pascal. He is hurt by his losses to Jones and Calazghe.
