Where do you rank Josh Barnett in the all-time heavyweight rankings?

Barnett's top 5 for me. May be somewhat interchangeable with the likes of Coleman Kerr but definitely top 5. And Couture shouldn't rank anywhere near the top 10 at heavy. His best body of work was at 205.

As of now he is top 5 but im intressted in seeing Overeem, JDS and Cain evolving also so he might be bumped off in the future

I have Barnett at 4th and Couture in at 5.

 

Couture may have done his best work ant 205, but not having him near your top 10 at heavy is ridiculous. Couture's resume at heavy includes wins over Belfort, Mo Smith, Randleman, Rizzo, Gonzaga, and Sylvia; and stacks up well against anyone outside of Fedor, Nog, Cro Cop, and Barnett.

 

2 career light heavys and the rest is/was flotsam bar Sylvia. Gonzaga? Really? Mo Smith? Dude that's a serious reach. You're going to put Randy in the all time top 10 at heavy for that?!?!?!

 

Smith? Remind me... Who was the first guy to defeat Coleman, when Coleman was thought of as unbeatable?

Belfort was 4-0 as a heavyweight, and was heavily favored to defeat Couture.

I was around when mma was in it's infancy, and remember how big those wins were.

I've laid it out for you. The top 4 are Fedor, Nog, Cro Cop, and Barnett. Come on, Mr. Know it all, find 6 better resumes.

 

Actually, I think Belfort was 2-0 as a heavyweight. He was 4-0 overall.

Does anyone have 6 heavyweights outside Fedor, Cro Cop, Nogueira, Barnett to put in front of Couture? It appears as though Scurla is struggling to find resumes of heavyweights to put in front of Couture.

It should be an easy task since, according to Scurla, Couture doesn't belong anywhere near the top ten all time mma heavyweights.
