where do you rank JuanMa Lopez now and would Lopez vs John crown a real FW champion?

what are your thoughts on this?

Chris John is ranked #1 at FW by anyone but he hasn't really beaten anyone to be considered the champ. JuanMa just inserted himself in the top echelon of the division with his title win.

Gamboa is not even in the top 5, He have the talet to beat anyone but His opositions do not make him a top 3.

I think both Gamboa and JuanMa beat John. Probably, quite handily, too.

Would love to see Gamboa vs. JuanMa. Great fight.

Although I think it would by Ring Magazine criteria, in reality the top two are Gamboa and Lopez.

Yes, I think it would. Chris John is regarded as the "champ" at 126, so any fight that involves him would be for the real featherweight championship. If we're talking about The Ring title, John is #1, and Luevano was #2... so I'm assuming JuanMa will take over the #2 spot now. Which means if John and Lopez fought, it would be for The Ring title.

Gamboa's resume is not good enought to put him in the top 3 at 126...even thought he arguably might be the best featherweight right now.

After tonight I would definitely say that yes. Juan Manuel proved me wrong so I have to give him his due.

What? Twelve title defenses. Beat Juan Manuel Marquez and Rocky Juarez...43-0-2...What are you talking about? He's far, far, far more proven at the weight than Gamboa or Lopez. Come on man. He may be winding down quite a bit, but you want to prove it, fight him and win.
