I’m not spamming your thread, genius.

    And I’m asking legitimate questions.

And if you had any knowledge of me and my posts, you would know that I am a HUGE fan of Usyk.

He is actually my current favourite fighter.

I have often labelled him as being a genius.

I love him as a fighter, and I think that he’s an incredible role model for the sport.

    He’s a gentleman.

Now what he’s done in such a short space of time, is remarkable. And especially as he’s took whatever the purse is and travelled out of his comfort zone to the opponents back yard.

    Frankly, I love the guy.

However, he cannot be ranked as the GOAT at HW, or in the top 5, after literally only having fought just 5 opponents.

Now that should be obvious to ANYBODY.

Now if we’re talking on ability, okay.

Or if he’s someone’s favourite fighter, or top 3 favourite, then fine.

But if not, then it makes a mockery of the division’s history.

Now I am not spamming your thread, I have simply put the same question to different posters.

Regarding Joe Calzaghe, I have never said that he was no good. And I have always referred to him as being a great fighter. I have only said that he’s overrated by many, as he has a poor overall resume for someone so talented.

Usyk is absolutely the GOAT. The quicker you can just accept that the easier your life will be :) Nobody has done what Usyk’s done in the style that he’s done it. All the PED’s and low blows in the world couldn’t help your boy daniel on Sat night. Brought to his knees by the master once again. A motivated and angry Usyk might be the H2H goat as well. For the longest I thought that was Vitali. Not so sure anymore :lol:

We have no idea if anyone can beat anyone from a different era. Judging by Tyson's poor performances post prison and the fact that he was a drug addict, I am personally positive that Uysk would have beat him at that point. Judging by the fact that Bowe was, after Holyfield, terrified to step in the ring with anyone of quality, I would say that Usyk gets the benefit of that doubt as well, but the point is, it really isn't that great a win, historically, because Bowe was a busted flush.

If the judging had been fair, he would have lost two rounds to Chisora, and he used to basically give the first two away. Usyk outlanded him in nine rounds with one being even.

The fight with Gassiev was a walkover. I like Murat, but he mounted no offense at all.

Yeah, Chisora got beaten up, so did Gasiev, my point was more to do with the fact he couldn't put a dent in them, Foreman had an iron chin so I think he could use his crudeness to land some effective shots. A prime Foreman vs Chisora would be over within 3 rounds.

    Another horrendous post by you.

    My boy Daniel??

I am a HUGE Usyk fan.

    I love the guy.

But I'm not going to proclaim him as being the greatest HW of all time, based upon him having fought just FIVE guys at the weight.

    Sort yourself out.

    Your posts are embarrassing.

Did you not read my post before you quoted me?

You literally quoted me saying that he was my favourite fighter and a genius etc.

Yet you then said "Your boy Daniel"

    Bizarre.

We don't know what would have happened.

    That's my point.

I'll reserve judgement, whilst people are making huge assumptions just based upon his record against 5 opponents.

Mike was obviously past his best, but he was still a force when Evander beat him.

We don't know if Usyk could have dealt with that style. Ans I'm certain that he couldn't have beaten a prime Mike. It would have been a terrible stylistic match up for him from what I've seen.

Bowe was very inconsistent. But at his best, he'd have presented Usyk with something he's never seen before.

For me it all comes down to how you measure ATG.
    Legacy?
    H2H?
    Competition?
    Some version of eye test?
It goes on and on, an endless litany of ways to separate greatness from greatness.

Look, he's not had and won't have the impact outside of boxing Ali had. Not the notoriety of Tyson. His competition can be argued till the cows come home as well.
For me it's enough to say he's in the best company by virtue of being included in those conversations. I think he deserves that.

My personal opinion (watching boxing since the 1995)

    Based on h2h and resume.

Prime Lewis, wlad and Tyson are 50 /50 against usyk because of their style.
I am not considering heavyweight from the time before. That's almost 50 years ago

I agree with Paulie Malignaggi at 11.47 on where Usyk ranks in the all time list.

’I know everyones big into their nostalgia, but remember Soviets were not turning pro until the 90’s and I think that makes a big difference, The heavyweights are bigger, lefties are more common now, and also the Soviet era of fighters did not start turning pro until the 90’s so the old days didn’t have to deal with those guys, so a lot of things that favour Usyk being the GOAT’’

Usyk is the G.O.A.T.? A guy like Holyfield would chew him up and spit him out. Joe Louis hand speed and power would be why too much to handle. I think even James Toney may beat him as well. I just done see the Usyk love he is getting. Good but far of being an all time great.

So it’s H2H, from the HW’s that you’re aware of.

    Okay. That’s cool.

But it can’t be on resume can it.

    Or under general criteria.

You can’t rank a guy as the GOAT after only 8 fights, from only 5 opponents, and when none of them were prime HOF/ATG’s.

Mike Tyson wouldn’t have been a 50/50 fight.

That would have been an awful stylistic match up for Usyk.

He doesn’t possess the attributes needed to have kept Mike at bay.

Also, we can go past 50 years.

It doesn’t matter how long ago a guy fought.

The only things relevant, are how great they were, and how they’d have realistically have matched up on the night stylistically.
