Where do you rank Pernell Whitaker on the ATG list

    To me Pernell Whitaker is a Top 10 ATG...
    He won titles in 4 different weight classes
    He was 40-1 untill he started to fall off
    He beat Paez, Nelson, Hauegen, Rivera, McGirt, and Chavez(you know he deserved it !)
    He gave De La Hoya a great fight near the end of his career
    One of the best defensive fighters of all time

    Where do ya all rank him ? I'm curious to see how he's ranked on this board.

    I have never made an all time great list, but I agree, If i were to I don't think Sweet Pea would be far out of my top 10.

    15-20...One of my favs but I couldnt see him much higher then that to be honest. Unless your criteria was heavily dependent on in the ring the ability and form on film.

    The accomplishments isnt there for top 10, nor even top 30 for that matter, but his H2H factor is what takes him so high for me.

    I've never really sat down and made an ATG list:lol:, I was just workin that out in my head and Whitaker ranks HIGH

    Right now, 24th ATG. Whitaker was amazing and to me the best defensive fighter of the last 30 years, screw Floyd.
