An old (for boxing) and feared ex-champ vs. an older champ. Yes, to me the fact that Lewis was even older than Mike made that win even more significant...not to mention the fact that LL dominated so much for the overwhelming majority of the fight.

Imo the ref or the corner should have stopped the fight earlier. Mike was useless after only a short time, and ended up looking almost like a kid compared to LL (in the final rounds).

Not very high but Lewis's resume is kind of weak if you at the actual individual opponents, taking them in isolation, case by case.
Lewis's standing rests more on his longevity and the quantity of guys who were at least regarded as viable contenders at the time, rather than a sheer quality of opponents.

This fight did nothing to boost LL's resume.

Tyson was completely over the hill and shot.

It wasn't a good win at all.

Lewis did what he had to and on paper it’s the biggest name on his resume but It’s really hard to say it’s a good win when you think that it came 16 years after Tyson first won the title.

    Means jack.

Strictly a money grab...but Boxing always has been a business.

Lewis fought the shell of a shell Ghost of Tyson..........and still was gun shy to get caught, needed a Stewart scolding to finally pull the trigger.

Reverse outcome: Berbick/Holmes/Spinks/Biggs Tyson vs Lewis who faced Tyson actually...........Tyson KO 2 max ......that Tyson against old Tyson would have ko'ed that shell in a round....
