Where do you rank Whitaker and where do you rank Mayweather?

Actually I have always rooted against both fighters,but at least floyd is likable sometimes. Cant say that about sweat pea. Personalitys aside i think both are atg and I see that as pretty even down the line skill wise. But i agree may did a little more as far as offensively. Pernell was a great bodypuncher and has had amazing offensive game (average power) when he wanted,but that wasnt his game. As of right know id edge with pernell. Althought when there career is over i might change my mind, even if floyd can beat 2 outof one of the big 3 i might put him over pernell.

 

Not necessarely. Right now he is 60-80 TOP ATG. It depends on where Mayweather goes from now.His record will be breaken down and if he continues to duck fighters...

 

Whitaker has taken on much stronger competition.

I don't know if PBF would have beaten guys like Chavez, Buddy McGirt, Vazquez, Nelson...

Maybe out of topic, but I just wanna state that a faded Whitaker did just as good, if not better, against a prime DLH, than a prime Mayweather did against a faded DLH

 

LOL did you even watch that fight? Pernell was dominating every round of that fight. Pernell got caught with one shot, and it was a flash kd. That is not life and death. Life and death is pretty boy hanging on to castillo for the last 4 rounds of their first fight. rewatch

 

My thought exactly. Pernell almost knocked him out at the end of the fight, not sure if that's life and death.
