Hey, now that is a good list. :good

The only one I'd take issue with is Tunney - ATG fighter for sure, but I can't see him cracking into a HEAVYWEIGHT list seeing as he only had a handful of fights at HW.

Other than that.... no Bowe - CHECK!.... no Vitali - CHECK ..... must be a good list. :yep

If he can get the fights with who? Who is out there that will prove his All Time Greatness?

It's not a knock on him - it's obviously not his fault. But I have a feeling he is always going to lack a career-defining fight that cements his place in the top-10 or 15.

I believe he has the talent to be that high, but I can't rank a fighter up there just based on what I think he might do in mythical matches.

I'm open to critique but that last line lost you all credibility, sorry. Lewis is not too high either & neither is Dempsey. Frazier & Liston are right where they belong or I wouldn't have put them there :D Not familiar with Harry Willis............

Thanks for the constructive opinion. I rank Tunney based mostly on his wins against Dempsey and the way he boxed. Maybe you're right, he didn't have a lot of HW bouts...................Vitali & Bowe simply don't have the resumés to be ranked in the top 20-25.

Bowe proved his caliber as an ATG level fighter against Holyfield.

Wlad got spanked by Ross Purrity.

    Enough said.

Golota spanked Bowe twice, and Bowe pussied out of a fight against Lewis.

He would very easily beat ATG's that were undersized for today's era and/or not particularly fast. An underachiever like Sanders would always be better equipped to beat Wlad that Joe Louis, Frazier and a few other big names.

In today's ear with all the different organizations and politics, hardly any fighter can come up with a resume comparable to that of past greats. This means littel to nothing in H2H comparisons.

Wlad at age 21 used Purrity as a punching bag for ten rounds and gassed out. Hopkins got beaten by a nobody in his first pro fight, by your logic he is not an ATG?

BHop had a career fighting and beating ATG's and hall of famers (Wlad hasn't even been in the ring with one ffs !!!) he was also undisputed MW champion whereas Wlad has only ever picked up a couple of paper titles.

The debate that Wlad is an all time great, one that people are saying is one of the TOP TEN GREATEST HW CHAMPIONS OF ALL TIME is just absurd, ridiculous.

And you cant use the argument that because Wlad is so much bigger than guys like Marciano and Dempsey the fights would be a no contest anyway. Even if he does outweigh them by going on 60 pounds, and might well have beaten them because of it, it does not make him the greater champion.

Greatness is achieved by standing out from you contemporaries, not being compared to guys from almost 100 years ago.

thats why we should wait until Wlads career is over. He is in his prime and still dominating. Lets see what he does, and them debate where he should be placed. As you know I am a fan (of course) of Wlad, and I would not put him at top 10. Give it some time and then we will see where he should go

posterity will judge the brothers fate, and judge it well..

i indeed will allow myself a little presumption and contoversy by stating that i think they both are top 20 as of now,and would be a handfull for any fighter in any era!
