And what about the second round? There's only one reason I can think of as to why you used the first round (in which Wlad was hurt) and not the second, which I've documented in detail.

 why? Why is it moot? You're saying now that Wladimir being big makes his clinching more of a rule break than if someone small does it  What spectacular bullsh!t.

Your claim that Wlad did more clinching than most fighters do in their entire careers - that's a quote - is nonsense. Round 2 of Wlad-Pulev is absolutely comaprable with round 1 of Ricky-Manny.

And by the way - Boxrec lists Wlad as 1.5 inches taller than Pulev. Even by your berserk standards there are dozens and dozens of fights that could be used to draw comparison.

But really, what would be the point?

Second , third , fourth . It was all clinch . You said there was none

Wlad wrestled , grappled and head locked Pulev before looking for a one shot fight ender. He couldn't out box him. A top 5 ATG doesn't act like that against C level opposition.

Hatton's clinching didn't win him the fight against Manny. Hatton wasn't able to stop Manny fighting his fight by use of clinching and got hammered in 2 rounds.
Wlad never fought a guy as talented as Manny in his life but still has to clinch and foul them all.

No I did not. Where do you get this from. Here is a small sampling of what I said:

How can even someone as deluded as you read that and say "he said there were no clinches in that fight!"

Why is Pulev C level opposition? Going in you were determined he was good enough to beat Wlad?

So if I've got this right, you expect a referee to enforce the rules...in keeping with who he thinks is going to win the fight?

To be fair, past heavyweights with the exception of Lewis only fought contenders from the lower 48 states. What would have happened had Ali, Tyson, Frazier, Holmes, ect. fought worldwide contenders, those fighters we see emerging from Eastern Europe today? You know, areas that were part of the soviet Union and hence didn't have any heavyweights competing professionally.

That's why it's disingenuous to say Wlad fights in a weak era, or that heavyweights aren't athletically gifted as former heavyweights. You have a much bigger sampling pool in 2015 and boxing is truly a world wide sport with more participants. In years past it was mostly Americans.

    I'm american FYI.

To me, Wlad is without doubt the most athletically gifted heavyweight of all time with the exception of Ali. We have never seen a heavyweight of his size, with his physique, box the way he does. He brings both speed and power to the discussion. This is without talking about his superb balance, reflexes, ect.

I maintain he's in the top 5 goat heavyweights and there could be a debate for making him #1 or 2. He is the most dominant heavyweight of all time to this point.

so how come he in his prime gets destroyed instantly by retired nevermen?
when did that happen to Louis, Dempsey, Marciano, ali, ...anyeon come to think of it.

I think you have something that's he a good athlete, and hes certainly acheived a lot but greatest anything, most dominant, goodness no. Dig up a fossil who was semi decent in the lewis era and wlad goes down in seconds.

Wlad isn't even the best conditioned heavy weight in this weak era , let alone of all time:roll:

But are we counting every title as equal now? Are we counting Butterbean's IBA titles as a heavyweight reign? WBF titles?

Forget about Dino he is useless. Pulev initiate most of the clinch. Not to mention all the hit after brake from referee and all the rabbit punches from him ....
And dino wasnt Pulev the guy with speed, boxing skills, footwork, chin, height and toughness that Klitschko first Duck, and then Pulev would destroy?
I mean thats your own words .....

LMAO @ dino. He's consistently the most deranged poster on this forum. The most entertaining is Boxed Ears, mainly because I think he posts half of the time with his tongue in his cheek and leaves it up to us to figure out when he is trolling and when he is not.

In five years time anybody who said Wlad was less than top 10 is going to be feeling dumb, I believe. Simply because his record is so long, and so consistent.

Let me also say that if he'd held win over Lewis (who I think he had a good chance* of beating) and Vitali (who I think he didn't have a good chance of beating) we would not be having such a debate today.

Wlad's best shot at undisputed greatness is if Povetkin, Pulev etc go on to forge great careers themselves. IMHO.
