Wlad is clearly going to be an ATG. The only question is how great. The fact that there may be Stormfront threads in his honour have squat to do with his accomplishments in the ring. He appears, to me, to be a gentleman both in and out of the ring. If you hate his clinching, then I am with you and agree. But that's another matter.

Opinion disqualified. You think 'Zaggers isn't in the top 20 Super Middleweights of all time. Get some perspective then come back.

I don't recall Holmes getting knocked out on THREE separate occasions by bottom feeders...

    Neither did Brian Nielsen.

Now THERE was a fighter who knew his place. Non-offensive, lost to a couple ATG's, took care of business against a lot of journeyman/gatekeeper types, got beat every few years....that's a respectable career.

He didn't try to be a hero only to leave millions of victims in his wake. :verysad

furthermore failing to avenge all three of the bottoms, and actually waiting till one was end of career before attempting it.

well I just said hes knocking on the door, he might yet achieve something special.

I didn't say hes in the top twenty yet. I want to refrain my judgement until hes finished, so I'm presenting the possibility of him becoming a great.ok I amend what I said, that he can crack the top 25 if he ends his career well.

Wlad has more boxing skill all around power than any of the great heavyweights.
He's better today than he was 5 years ago. If only he was meaner -we'd see
he had all the tools to beat any of the greats.

Hey, YOU said that he's not even top 20. 20 names is all I'm asking, as per YOUR standpoint. I see that you wasted another 23 words to me without stumping up a single boxer :think If you'd just typed the surnames of these ATG's we would have been done thrice over with your "enormous" list of people with a better resume' than Klitschko.

Actually Chris Byrd was pretty damn good. In fact, I reckon that he's better than some of those "wins" that you listed for the guys on that top 10 list.

Wladimir is such an interesting fighter to try and rank historically.

His length of dominance in the division can't be denied, but the only thing that REALLY hurts him is that he's been campaigning in the weakest form of the division in decades.

Once again, it's not his fault, he can only fight the guys that are available to fight. And him being a big HW doesn't give him the opportunity to move to other divisions and fight good fighters. So he has to make due with what's around.

He hasn't fought one hall of famer. That's a very telling statistic. The last hall of famers to campaign at HW were his brother and Lennox. All of the greatest Hw's in history were fortunate enough to campaign at times when the division was extremely competitive. It's not wlad's fault, he's taken on all comers, but the top guys during his time of reign haven't been that impressive. He's had some nice wins such as Peter and povetkin, but he unfortunately doesn't have that one marquis name on his resume.

But his length of time as the HW champion is extremely impressive. I Have him somewhere between 13-16.
