I notice how Boxed Ears managed to compile a list of boxers who (in his opinion) have a better win than Byrd on it (despite Byrd actually beating Holyfield for example ;) ) ... but he has struggled mightily in trying to compile a list of 20 boxers who have a better resume' than Wladimir. :think

    :D

What we forget is that the boxers on this list of Boxed Ears have "impressive" wins because they all managed to beat each other. Whereas very few boxers have managed to beat Wlad - and if you want to be nit-picky - only Sanders "legitimately" kicked his ass, whereas the Brewster and Purritty losses seemed more like a case of Klitschko punching himself out.

Are we now punishing Klitschko because his dominance has been so severe?

I think that Pulev, Povetkin, Chagaev, Byrd and maybe Peter would have had a good showing for themselves in any era.

Sounds like a case of sour g****s to me. Pity, because it precludes a serious discussion of Wlad's merits or lack thereof.

I have Wlad at around 6 as well. If he retires after beating Wilder, Fury, Jennings, and they themselves go on to do great things, he may go up.

I agree when the Americans dont got a champion is a weak era. But now since wilder is undefeated and its a champion is strong again. Unless of-course he lose to Wladimir then he is a bum.:lol:

You know that there's something wrong when some people hate a boxer with passion despite that boxer being a good and respectful sportsman and a good representative of the sport.

If Klitschko wasn't that good, the hatred wouldn't have been that strong either.

I agree with this :good Seems to me that when the HW champion goes around conducting himself outrageously and aggressively outside the ring and engages in endless trash talk he is more popular for some reason.

And this is coming from somebody who will readily admit that Wlad can be too clinical and that he has delivered up some stinkers.
