Where do you rate Jack Dempsey and why?

I actually give Johnson's reign as the coloured champion some distinction, after all he did beat solid fighters as the colored champ and when he finally got his chance he beat decent fighters as the heavyweight champ, but its clear that he took his foot of the gas with softer touches.

Overall he has a better resume than Dempsey IMO

 

hes gotta rank in the lower part of the heavyweights based on a weak resume. I also question how he does against big skilled heavies.
The old fighters for me in general are hard for me to rank.. they have a low guard, bad punching technique, and just not as impressive on film as the other heavies..
he still does rank pretty good head to head though for me
